UF and UGA have better head coaches then the little 6 in the east now.

Wrong.

UF could fall apart very quickly if Mullen ends up not winning.

I know you can't base anything off a spring game, but UF's spring game was terrible. I'd honestly be embarrassed and nervous.

I'd say UGA, USC, UF.

Now compare them to the coaches in tWest and UF is far from the top.

Arkansas in 3 years. Then will make it to the final game, lose late in the 4th on some bonehead play/shite penalty. Coach Morris will then bolt for Texas A&M after Jimbo has to leave over major recruiting infractions. We'll hire some dipshit from up north with no southern recruiting ties and never sniff another SEC or even west division championship in my lifetime. I'm 44.

I think just using logic you'd have to say Mullen is better than Muschamp to do this point. He certainly has done more with less. Spring game was bad, but it's a glorified scrimmage and he's not gonna be judged on this year anyway as long as it's an improvement over last and the offense is better.

I will say this though, he's at Florida and so far he's still recruiting like he's in Starkeville. That will have to change.

Why?

Getting State to #1 doesn't mean anything.

Logically, they are both still unproven.

I just feel like SCAR is ahead of the curve when comparing Florida and SCAR.

Also, Muschamp can recruit better than Mullen.

good write-up. You COULD have mentioned that Arkansas had Florida on the ropes- down 4 and had to punt in the 4th qtr. Then Reggie Fish fumbled away a possession and a touchdown all in one play. With that backfield we had the #1 Time of Possession in the country that year (iirc, i KNOW it was tops in the SEC at the end still) and had all the momentum. We HAD that SEC title.

Also, as you mentioned, 1998. Uggh.

Then , Petrino did have 10 then 11 win seasons back-to-back but Bama wasnt really threatened by us either year. Close , though.

Great job dude.

The four East teams should be ranked 2-5, because to win the SEC Championship, you have to win your division first.

South Carolina, Missouri, Kentucky and even Vanderbilt have a better chance of having a team slip up and win the East than MSU, Arkansas, and Ole Miss have of winning the West.

A&M is a sleeping giant, and is obviously the best chance of breaking into the Big 6. But one of the East teams could have a good day. The West teams have to have a great season.
stupid take. Arkansas has be there 3 times and has 13 Conference Titles to it's name- many in years when the SWC was ranked as the #1 or #2 conference in the Country. Arkansas will win an SEC title, you pompous d-bags. They are consitently the #7 team, since y'all claim Big6 , so be it. We are the King of the Scrubs then.

Seek help, dude. You have terrible poorlilolearkinsaw syndrome. Chad will never go to Aggy now. And next trip to Atlanta Arkansas is cashing in.

Bet you thought Scotty would miss that shot vs Duke too, right?

Why they won't: They can recruit, just can't do it without making it obvious that they are cheating. Laremy Tunsil was a silent to UGA. Didn't have Ole Miss in his top three. Supposedly goes for a visit because a family member goes there. Commits on the visit a few weeks before NSD. Ya gotta tell that kid to say "Ole Miss really gave me something to think about." Take it to NSD. Pick the Ole Miss hat over the UGA hat and just tell them it was the hardest decision of your life. We all know what happened in the end. If Ole Miss ever has the team to do it, they probably won't be eligible.

Feel better now ?

And they beat that UF team badly.

Also, that Bama team they beat by double digits was the most talented team Saban has ever produced anywhere.

And, they took the undefeated national champion with the best player in SEC history down to the wire on the road at maybe the toughest venue to play in the SEC.

So, yeah, they were "pretty good" and you are "pretty dumb".

He had a better record in a place you can't recruit.

Muschamp did worse one of the top 5 recruiting situations in the country. You really can't argue that.

That 2002 Alabama team will always be underrated. I consider them to be the SEC West champs that year.

The game in Norman was a lot of fun. OU with a late surge to win the game after Bama came back from being down 3-23 to be up 27-23.

UF has proven that, like Alabama, they won't tolerate a bad coach for long. Hell, McElwain won the East 2 of his 3 years and they still found a reason to can him because he couldn't win more.
