Some of the crap I read on this board make me laugh. So and so would never go to Starkville. Coaches go anywhere where the money is good, the fan base supports the team and an AD who cares and nourishes that sport. Add to that we are building the finest baseball stadium in college baseball which will be finished before next season.

Say what you want but Msu is a solid place for any head coach. You don't have to like it but facts are facts. We will land a top notch coach and you can bank on that. Gonna save this thread so I can laugh later.

I haven't seen any non msu fans suggest anything different. State will hire a good coach this go around, but they aren't the Yankees who can get whomever they want like some of y'all seem to think.

I don’t think the fans believe they can get whomever they want. I don’t think anyone has any inside knowledge either. I do think MSU will hire a proven coach with a national reputation based solely on the commitment the administration has made to baseball.

What in the actual hell is up with this site lately? It just randomly posted this in the wrong thread and I previewed before I posted.

As for your question...I haven't heard anything yet but it's odd how many are transferring or expressing interest in transferring all of a sudden.

All 3 of those guys in the OP are at destination jobs and will not leave.

It is an unrealistic list.

Is it? All 3 have already met with Cohen. It’s either McDonnell or Schloss.

What’s unrealistic with this list? We are building a $55 million park and our AD is a former coach who knows all of these guys and is willing to pay top dollar, over $1.5 million to be exact

Ummm, you're still in Starkville?
Fort Worth > Starkville
Nashville > Starkville
Louisville > Starkville

Toad Suck, Arkansas > Starkville?

All three want the job. All three have spoken to the AD.

Considering all 3 are still in their seasons, I doubt that.

Yeah, I’m gonna have to take our AD’s word over yours. Also, please explain the logic on Louisville being a destination job over Mississippi State

I think this is a fair statement and I do expect State to hire a great coach. I, personally, just doubt Schlossnagle and Corbin would leave where they are. I think McDonnell is the most likely.

I hope it’s McDonnell. Would love to give Louisville the full daddy treatment
