Don't judge me...I kinda haven't watched football for that long.
The first player that I saw that I really liked to watch was Marcus Lattimore. Amazing player that lit up our running game and a class act off the field. Always enjoyed watching a classic Lattimore touchdown! It was truly shame that his play-time got cut short in College and never took place in the NFL. Injuries are a drag.

Roman Gabriel ... and in an ironic twist of fate he later became, and still is, a very close friend of mine. I'll see him tomorrow as a matter of fact.
I used to love Roman Gabriel! He could do it all, including act. (Wasn't really all that good of an actor, but how many QB's can make a movie in Hollywood?)

Makes sense your favorite player would be a convicted NCAA cheat that had his eligibility stripped.

Probably Billy Cannon. I cried so hard when I found out he was a criminal and had to go to prison.

Most will have no idea who this is but Ricky Tucker.
I think he graduated from Bama in 1980. He lived behind us when he was at school. I met him in 1979. His dad and my dad were good friends.
When he'd come home from school he'd invite me over and I'd just hang out with him. Several times he'd bring home players and I'd get to meet them.
The one that sticks out was EJ Junior. To an 8 year old he was just a massive huge individual and was so nice to me. I watched the Outlaw Josey Wells with them.
