My opinion means nothing obviously, but I don’t think a group of five should be in the playoffs at all. Sorry I think the group of five should go like the FCS route and just have a playoff like the FCS schools do and then the best power five groups get in.

It might be on the TV in my house, but I'll pass on watching more than a few minutes of it. Oregon by 40

I don’t want to see JMU vs anyone.

Especially LSU, they’d likely win.

I think if they get rid of the automatic qualifiers, the system will be fine. But, they’ll also have to get rid of the conference championship games.

Sorry, was away cleaning up the debris caused by the flooding of ND and Texas tears.

I missed where Loyola won the natty in basketball, probably was a great story, can’t wait to watch documentary.

I also failed to see where in basketball or baseball the weaker seeds win all the time and don’t get blown out? Should I put my money on 14, 15 or 16 seeds this March?

Best teams in college football??? We’re in the territory of teams with 3 losses, or 25% of their games. Why not let the one team that lost 8% of their games (JMU 12-1) get a shot and not have to lose hypothetical games played based on recruit rankings.

If an ACC or SEC team wants to go to the playoff so bad they can join a G5. I’m sure the G5 will take them.

Yep 12 teams is a great number if we’d just quit with DEI auto bids

People that hate Notre Dame will say they want to see it.

Nobody really does, though

It’s also the prime time game. So much for ratings
To make it even worse, it's also airing at the same time as the Bears/Packers AND it's on TNT

It will have horrible ratings. Probably won't crack the top 100 most watched games this year

I don't hate it as it gives the 5 seed a mini bye but it's also a game they have to risk injuries and game plan to avoid a complete embarrassment.

But two of them is stupid

Here!
An upset would be epic.
If the Ducks blow them out, change the channel.

The Tulane/Ole Miss game is more interesting though...

The ACC could've had something to do with that. They didn't tho.

Go to 16 teams, no byes, no conference championship games, still have same rules for top 5 conference winners. JMU would have been out in this case. UVA would have been 15 seed. Of course, those other conferences would have to pick a champ based on some kind of tiebreaker.

I think Tulane has been playing a lot better...and I'm not sure what kind of mental state Ole Miss is in

https://myteamisbetterthanyourteam.com/path;sport=CFB;method=2;winner=James%20Madison;loser=Oregon;year=2025

Only two steps.

I - FBS James Madison is better than Indiana because James Madison beat Old Dominion 63-27
and Indiana only beat Old Dominion 27-14

I - FBS Indiana beat Oregon 30-20

If you all want to be pissed and talk favoritism, Nike University has now been paired with Liberty in the Fiesta Bowl and James Madison in a first round playoff game.
