I thought about that, but I don't think White will begin to get big time touches until midway through the season.

He's already cleared for contact, so I very seriously doubt that.

Besides, I can't think of anybody else who could break out for us, tbh.
Isaiah Wilson, maybe?

I guess it depends on your definition of breakout, but I could think of a bunch of guys on defense.

Also, Demetris Robertson is a pretty big one.

Thought about him, too, but he had such a big year as a freshamn, I didn't really consider him a breakout. I realize he was at UC, though.

I guess defensively, LeCount? Maybe Rice.

Ask the Raiders if he's fat and lazy.

Defining "breakout" is the challenge.

Is it someone who hasn't contributed much?

Is it a very good player taking that next step into great? (Jr reed was our 2nd leading tackler last season. Breakout for him would be All American kind of like Roquan from the year before).

The biggest transformation on offense would be Mecole Hardman.
Breakout newcomer would be White.

On defense, I would go Tae Crowder. If he holds on to the starting job all season, that is huge (7 tackles last season at ILB/special teams).

That's what I'm hoping to see from him. He has the talent.

I'll say our starting TE Jacob August just because someone has to follow Hayden Hurst and our loaded WR corp should open up a lot of looks at that spot.

There is something to it

Losing Roquan leaves a lot of opportunities for other players. I expect a lot of action from Reed and Lecounte. The other ILBs will also get their share of extra tackles.

Even if it doesn't translate into all american, we could have a Shawn Williams type leader on the defense from the safety spot.
