I'm really looking forward to the next few seasons with Leach at the helm in Starkvegas. My brother is a State grad, his daughter is in their band, and his son will begin at State next year to study architecture.
Dad and I are the LSU Tigers in the family, but ever since my little brother decided to go to State I have had a soft spot for them.
Leach is a good coach, but my favorite thing about him is the way he interacts with the press and the things he says. He's gonna be fun as hell to watch. Now I can't wait for his presser at SEC Media Days!
Great hire, State!

He was great on the radio before he went to WSU. He couldn’t win the PAC 12 which is equal in strength to the ACC. I don’t see how he will get it done in theSEC especially at state. He will kick lame Kiffin’s recruiting arse. Leach is a good man. Kiffin is a pervert.

I really like M Leach because he gives not one little shite

The Air Raid offense at Kentucky where he helped set Four NCAA, 42 SEC, and 116 school records as offensive coordinator

One, he’s hilarious. Two, he build TT and WSU which isn’t an easy thing to do. Last, he doesn’t need elite talent for his system to work. He turned Gardner Minshew into a monster. LSU just dominated with an air attack, so it seems SEC teams are vulnerable there.

I like him because variety is the spice of life and it's good for the sport to have people who go against the grain.
I like him because he's quirky, but at the same time when the cameras go off and the mics are put away, he turns into a disciplinarian who'd make The Bear smile. The guy in the video dropping F bombs on his team for not meeting his expectations ... after a frickin' victory ... isn't a flake, he's a football coach. And I think it's good for the sport to still have people with expectations who demand accountability.
From his book: If you missed class at Texas Tech, he made you make up the work, sitting at a desk in the emblem at the middle of the 50-yard line at the football stadium, didn't matter if it was 20 degrees, snowing or raining. I especially liked this: There are two things that get you immediately kicked off his team, no debate, no second chances. If you're caught stealing, because he says someone who steals can't be trusted, or if you hit a woman, because men don't do that.
Even though I'm old school in a lot of ways, I like his offense, which isn't that much of a pansy West Coast offense or like the RPO/meerkat stuff. It's structured, surprisingly simple, does not ignore the run (although the pass certainly is dominant) and it starts with the OL which is why he's also a hard-a** on strength and conditioning, my understanding is his S&C program ran a lot of people off at Texas Tech and he's liable to do the same at State unless they're ready.
More than anything, I like him because he literally doesn't give a s**t, he's gonna do what he's gonna do. I think he'll do fine at State. The planets and stars would have to be in perfect, once-in-a-lifetime alignment for him to compete for a championship, but that would be the case if you cloned Saban and stuck him in Starkville.

my god man, are you for real?

maybe you should learn how to talk with words and read books and stuff.

Isn’t he the coach that got into that big thing with Craig James and his kid over locking him in a shed?

Especially when he locks a player in a shed in 100 degree heat.

Leach is a peach. He will have a championship in reach. When he speaks you’ll never be bored. Now swing your cowbell or sword.

Or it could be for his 84/43 record at Texas friggan Tech. Taking them to a top 5 ranking or taking Wazzou to an 11 win season.
Coached 3 Sammy Baugh Trophy (Outstanding Quarterback) winners: Kliff Kingsbury, B.J. Symons, and Graham Harrell
Perhaps because his ideas have changed the CFB landscape
