when did he play and what position?

He played tackle (usually right, but sometimes left) during the Shula years. IMO, he was a serviceable O-line player that didn't live up to his high school hype. He's infamous in large part to his participation (mostly as an on-the-field spectator) in the 2005 "honk if you sacked Brodie) Iron Bowl that saw the Bama line give up 11 sacks.

okay, thanks. Not sure that is "hate-worthy" though. I remember the 'honk' stickers.

it's funny how people on the internet think they know someone. John Cohen may come off as an arse on the diamond, but I know many people that work close to the man and he does more for the less fortunate than most on here would even dream about doing.

Phillip Fulmer for the backstab to Majors and the refusing to come to Alabama to avoid a subpoena.

Brad Scott How can anyone with as much talent in the state of Carolina be so bad?

Jackie Sherrill Not only a cheater but he had no respect for his school or himself. Cried about Oregon getting better Nike stuff, only way the contractor got the job on his house was his players "work" for the company.

Honestly, for me - when I played (HS & some college), I hated them all before and during a game. I always respected them afterwards. But as a spectator, I can honestly say that I have never hated any players or coaches, before or after....only respect.

This surprises me. I agree the guy is the stereotypical dumb football player off the field but on the field he played hard, took the beatings, and overachieved. And to really hate an average player like that surprises me.

Now Aaron Hernandez.....

The horrors.

Those 5 grounds keepers that witnessed it firsthand still have nightmares

If Ears hadn't sucked so badly, Bama doesn't get Bear to come home.

Three years of utterly awful in exchange for 25 of greatness? Nah, no hating on Ears.

I don't hate anyone for anything sports related. If you change it to least respected (and exclude killers), it would be Phil Fulmer for both the way he stabbed Johnny Majors in the back and then for being too much of a coward to go under oath in the Alabama fiasco.

Greg McElroy...

If I had to hear one more damn time that he "hasn't lost a football game he started since the 6th grade, and only because the long snapper hiked it over his head" I would have lost it.

Tubs. Would love to break his fingers. Wow, he beat up on probation crippled Bama program. How long did he last when Saban took over?

I can't hate him for that. He had our number.

That smug shite did dry up when Saban arrived, though, didn't it?

I cannot hate any kid who played on a team. BUT, I cannot stand Paul Bear Bryant.
