How much change was there in Clemson's defensive ranking after their center went down?

Grantham wasn't a center. lol

He was a forward who played like a guard. Took a lot of 3's.

I agree it is the 7-10 line this year. Providence is a shoe-in over A&M due to coaching alone. Texas will be a bad matchup for Nevada, and though I would love to see RI win, Oklahoma probably has their number. Butler/Arkansas may be the best game in the First round

I think AUburn more likely to lose in 1st round. Clemson has a better big man than Auburn does in Eli Thomas.

Well now you are just being stupid. I said I thought Clemson would win, and that is your response.

College of Charleston isn't even in the same class as New Mexico State, let alone Auburn. While NMS is ranked 55 by KenPom, CoC is ranked 120- the lowest of the 13 seeds and behind several 14 seeds and a 15 seed.

And if you think NMS has played a weak schedule, it is world class compared to CoC. CoC lost by 18 to Wichita State in November and Rhode Island by 6 in December. Those were the only KenPom top-150 teams they faced outside of conference foe Northeastern.

And from an actual match-up standpoint, they don't have the size Auburn has struggled with. Their tallest starter is 6-7.

None of this means Auburn is a better team than Clemson at the moment, but we absolutely have a much better chance at surviving the first round.

Is A&M a 5? If so, that will be my upset.

Davidson isn't beating Kentucky unless Steph Curry suits up for his alma mater.

New Mexico State over Clemson is the perfect recipe for a 12-5

Clemson isn't exactly a blue blood, although they had a good season in the best conference. New Mexico State has won something like 25 in a row If I believe - and is probably a pretty dang good team. Weak schedule or not, winning compounds winning.

If Clemson thinks this is a throw away game against some nobody team they will get beat. I don't think Davidson can do that - Kentucky can play like crap and still win a close one.

5-12-1082, at the Battle at Mailberg, Vratislav II of Bohemia beat Leopold II of Austr. That was a pretty nice upset.

Well, this is bullshite. The Bohemians were heavily favored in that contest. Leo was big shite in the German nations, but we now know that it was a really weak conference. None of the German nations did well in battles that season.

Why don't you leave the bball talk to teams that didn't have current players in elementary school the last time their school danced.

I actually have all these flipped, with Butler beating Arky.

Must be an Aggie thing. We are ranked 315th in this stat.

South Dakota State is the 12 this year. I have CoC over Auburn as well.

10/7 isn't really an upset at all. Just like 9/8 those games are almost universally coinflips.

Davidson is trash. They had to win their tournament to even get in the game. Can’t rebound, they will be ran out of the gym.

He was the most versatile player on the roster in that he is 6'8 and can rebound but can also shoot 3 , assist and handle the ball.

The freshman that has replaced him, Simms, is a big guy too and can also shoot the 3. The other guy getting some of Dante's minutes is David Skara, a 6'8 guy who is the team's' best defender.

Clemson's most clutch player this year has been Marquisse Reed, and Gabe Devoe had several games with 5 or more 3 pointers.

The big man Eli Thomas, Clemson's first player from Texas, is a great defensive player and has been scoring more in recent games. He has a tendency to pick up bad fouls and that played a role in the loss to UVA in the ACC tournament. He still had 15 points against UVA in 26 minutes of action.

At 1st I was a little worried....but Butler is the type of team Arkansas usually doesn't have any problems with.

Size and length gives Arkansas problems....Butler is much smaller than Arkansas.
