Gotta pick one every year. In my bracket, it's Kentucky losing to Davidson.

Just thought the board would be enlightened and congratulatory over this highly surprising pick.

In all honesty, though, I can't recall a season that had so many "Jekyll and Hyde" teams. A lot of teams looked All-World at times, then completely shite the bed for several games. Weird season.

NM ST. is the most likely team to beat a 5, but the best upset match-up's in the tournament are with the 7 vs. 10 seeds.

5-12-1082, at the Battle at Mailberg, Vratislav II of Bohemia beat Leopold II of Austr. That was a pretty nice upset.

Even though he was out manned, Leo had homecourt advantage. fricking wedge defense against the 3 pillar offense done him in.

At one point or another I've had every 10 seed winning game 1. I've subsequently pussied out on 2 of them but am sticking with Butler and OU.

NMS doesn't shot FTs well......Clemson does.

'It’s also important to know that the Aggies are No. 345 in the country in free-throw shooting at 63.9 percent.'

Looking at the match-ups per KenPom, Kentucky drew the most difficult match-up in Davidson (Davidson should be more of a 10 seed). But their strength is offense, specifically 3 point shooting, which plays right into Kentucky's strength.

New Mexico State is going to have a chance against Clemson, but The Aggies are an elite defensive team (14 per KenPom), playing an even more elite defensive team in Clemson (8 per KenPom). I would expect this to be a low scoring, ugly game, but that won't favor New Mexico State as their #342 in FT shooting %.

West Virginia is considered the strongest 5 Seed by KenPom, and while Murray State is a balanced team and certainly capable of hanging with WV, they also have been tested the least of any of the 12 seeds. But they did play Auburn close at home early in the season.

South Dakota St. has the make up of a team capable of making an upset. Experienced team making their third appearance in a row, high powered offense, shoots 40% from 3 and doesn't turn it over much. Ohio State is a solid team , but I'm picking them as my upset, because I have Gonzaga winning the next game regardless.

i don't think NMS has played enough good teams on offense to say they are elite defensively.

Clemson only had one loss to a team that didn't make the big dance, Temple, who also beat Auburn.

Ehh... KenPoms defensive ratings adjust for competition; they are 20 spots above Clemson in Opponent ppg, but 6 spots behind them in KenPom. NMS has played a pretty weak schedule though. They beat Miami and I think that is their only tournament team win.

I do think Clemson wins that game, and I'm looking forward to getting some revenge with Clemson on the hard court.

everybody thought BC would beat Clemson too in the ACC tournament because of their good guards.

I think AUburn more likely to lose in 1st round. Clemson has a better big man than Auburn does in Eli Thomas.
