selective stat metrics.

Seems like the metrics dig into what makes a great running back.

Yards per carry, hard fought yards, getting in the end zone, making people miss... what else is there to a running back?!?

CEH is gonna make for a really solid back in the modern NFL. Seems that he could be on the field for any down

1. Swift
2. CEH
3. Najee
4. Whitlow
5. Hill

But I was told quite vociferously William, that LSU lacked a running game.

Pimp, I too heard that sentiment. Seems like many people just glance at stats without digging in.

They praise PlayerA when he runs for 116 yards - but ignore the fact that it took him 44 carries.

Meanwhile they diss PlayerCEH when he has 70 yards - but ignore the fact that he did it on 10 carries.

I <3 the truth!

Not sure but that hyphenated name guy clearly has vision problems as a RB. Needs to start hitting the hole.

Good one. I giggled. Sarcasm is lost on tRant.

Wow.

That one guy is on nearly every list. Even the ones that seem a bit... reachy.

Guess that settles it!

It seemed like a pretty comprehensive collection of relevant stats but if you have other metrics to offer by all means

I challenge you to select some equally relevant stats that tell a different story

RAKEEM BOYD has to be up there. He plays behind a TERRIBLE, like all-time bad offensive line and is still 3rd in rushing, despite missing time due to injury.

- Longest Run -
1. Lamical Perine, RB (88 yds)
2. Isaiah Spiller, RB (85 yds)
3. Rakeem Boyd, RB (74 yds)
4. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB (57 yds)
5. John Rhys Plumlee, QB (54 yds)

WOW. The 5th longest run of the season was from a QB.

Definitely Swift.

If he played for LSU he'd have 20 Tds by now.

. . . but he'd also likely be sitting for the rest of the season due to injury.

Swift and it isn’t close. But the SEC is no longer a RB League.

Kind of amazing that Swift is the only SEC back that is even close to a household name on that list right now.
