I’m not a Gump and I want to be part of that event. At this point, it’s quite a spectacle.

You want to know why Alabama wins so much? Why Alabama gets most of the recruits it wants? Why Alabama competes for and wins the national title so much?

The passion the fans show by showing up in the heat and humidity.

We maybe crazy, but that crazy helps the program.
Five NC since 2009..... not bad....

Reminds me of grown men knocking kids out of the way to get a foul ball. Same shite, lol.

As a 12 or 13 yr old kid I was with my parents at an LSU baseball regional (mid 90’s). LSU game ended and next game had started. We were outside the stadium and I hear a foul ball bounce off the grandstand roof and it hits on street about 20ft or so from me. I take off running after the ball with my glove on my hand. About 10 ft on the other side of the ball was an over weight 60+ yr old man who also starts to run after it. As we both close in, me being young and agile, I slide on the street and cover the ball with my glove. Now the old man can’t stop his momentum and tripped over my feet as I slid. He almost face plants but catches himself. Then calls me an F’n bastard, as I get up and walk back to my parents with my ball. My mom, embarrassed, thinking I tripped the old man, tells me to “apologize and give him the ball”. I’m shocked and look at my dad to see what he says. He tells my mom, “if he goes and gives him that ball, then I’m going to have to go take it back, and then you’ll really be embarrassed, so I think we should just go eat”. I’ll never forget it.

No melt, it is what it is. I would never do it, but I have heard possible recruits talking about the passion Alabama has for football, and how much fun it would be to be a part of it.

I still enjoy making the 2.5 hr drive for 2 or 3 home games. The mass of fans that show up for game day is overwhelming at times. The popularity of being there has nationally grown as fans want to see the Bama gameday experience. I still enjoy greeting the coaches & players for walk of champions but the crowd is so heavy you gotta get there extra early for a good spot & always a tradition to get the bbq nachos from big bad wolf with a beer from the Houndstooth.

The fat guy looks like he has never ran more than a few yards to get a signature or to out run the next door neighbor's dog. The skinny looking guy at least has some form.
