Bama has won 3 of the last 10.

hence we arent your rival and Auburn gets it just from being in the same state.

ETA: And I agree, separating them was a mistake.
Bigger than people realize, too. People say "oh, it will be awesome to beat them twice!!!" and stuff like that, but seeing my favorite teams rival in the opposite division is enough for me to say that I don't like this move and never will.

Honestly a game I would like to go to one time.
You won't regret it, but I'd recommend going when both teams are good.

honestly i could give a shite about anything that happened more than 30 years ago...other than championships. Two good programs going toe to toe every year, i like it. I dont hate Bama or Saban at all like other LSU fans do. Its just a game i enjoy every season, there is no hatred involved in it for me

Being around the OSU/Michigan rivalry makes it clear that in state rivalries aren't necessarily better than out of state rivalries.

The only OSU/Mich game I've been to was in 08. Michigan was 3-8. OSU had two losses and was out of the BCSNCG race and Rose Bowl race. Technically, OSU was still fighting for a share of the Big Ten title and an at-large BCS bid, but there wasn't much (outside of The Game) OSU was fighting for and basically nothing for Michigan. But the atmosphere was nuts. Even when OSU was up 42-7 in the 4th quarter, nobody had left and my entire section was standing and yelling (a few others had sat down by that time). 2nd biggest/loudest game I've been to in the Shoe by far, only behind 09 USC.

I can only imagine what it must have been like in 06, when both teams were undefeated with a NCG berth on the line.

I would say that LSU's biggest rival today is Alabama..

I think it means the most to beat them

Auburn was that heated rival prior to Saban going to Alabama..but Nick sort of elevates this game for LSU fans

Ole Miss is the old rival..but not really today

Arkansas frankly is just a team that is tough to beat, but we don't get all that excited about beating ..and yes they have beaten us lately..but I don't see that as trend..even with Petrino

Florida is a great game every year...Rival? tough to say...

This LSU fan thinks beating Ole Nick at Bama is a big deal and very satisfying beating them...which will win 3 in a row against the tide..

Frankly, I do if the series keeps going like it has the past 5 or so. Rivalries take time to develop and Arkansas hasn't played at a high enough level until recently. We'll see.
