Saban could keep coaching for years at a high level, but if he were to retire soon, who is Alabama’s first call?

If it’s Greg Byrne making the hire - I don’t think anyone knows. With both Bohannon for baseball and Oats for basketball - the hires came out of no where. Byrne runs a tight ship and I doubt it’d leak.

So to answer the question - someone off the radar and not so obvious.

I know he's not the shiny new toy anymore, but they're insane if they don't at least give Dabo an interview.

It won't be big game Kelly, so relax.

I imagine that there will be talks with Dabo. He's still a very good head coach.

He's still the clear-cut #2 in the biz, imo. And he did it all at Clemson - a place that clearly has potential, but is far from a sleeping giant like LSU was, or any of the Florida schools.

Dabo has to be the first guy on the list.

Pete Golding.

They were terrible hiring coaches until Saban fell in their lap

Actually y’all need to return the favor take Jimbo off our hands like we did to y’all with Fran. It’s the right thing to do.

The biggest mistake of that Porky Pig looking motherfricker's life was bolting to A&M from Alabama. That was like a Sears catalogue level of frick-up.

Wrong.

Even though the odds are slim as he seems an NFL coach first and foremost, DeMeco Ryans is probably the first person they'll at least try to get.

If we couldn’t get a big name I would take a long hard look at James Madison’s coach. He has the credentials.
