Who has the toughest schedule in the SEC/country in 2026?

Which SEC team likely has the toughest schedule in the country? Just doing a quick eyeball test of how strong I think teams will be and the home/away factor TX and OK look to have it pretty tough. I guess I would lean to maybe TX being the hardest due to catching Ohio State instead of Michigan. Some of the others are pretty brutal also so I am sure there are many opinions on this. FL's schedule is tough but with the rotating teams I think our schedule next year may be a little tougher.

The Gators have been dealt a tough hand the last few years, that's for sure.

LSU - we have to play against the refs in every game.

Sept 5 – vs Kent State
Sept 12 – vs Towson
Sept 19 – vs Mississippi State
Sept 26 – at Alabama
Oct 3 – vs Kentucky
Oct 10 – at Florida
Oct 17 – BYE
Oct 24 – vs Tennessee
Oct 31 – at Oklahoma
Nov 7 – vs Texas A&M
Nov 14 – at Arkansas
Nov 21 – vs Georgia
Nov 28 – at Clemson
Who had the bright idea to go to 9 SEC games?? There are no easy games in the SEC.

Yep you are almost guaranteed to have 4 games that appear to be real tough looking at the schedules just in SEC play. I wonder if there is an SEC team with only 3 very hard looking SEC games due to having a good rotation slate this year. Might take another look to see if there are any.

Try to win a couple games so you don't frick up everyone else's strength of schedule.

I count 10 games that will be tough, 9 of which are in the SEC.

I see a team who really gets a schedule wake up call this season. Mizzu - if they are to have a good season Drinkwitz just can't feed on teams with losing SEC records that season like the last couple of years.

Of course, this will change dramatically. FPI in July is like someone stating recruit rankings won’t change before end of year.

I'm not going to get into a dick measuring contest over who's toughest, but I'm damn sure Kentucky absolutely has one of the toughest draws in the country this season.

Texas gets the Buckeyes at home and OU plays Michigan on the road. OU also goes to Georgia. I don't think texas has to play Georgia or Alabama this year.

Gladly. Maybe we can start with the Bulldogs

I think Arkansas going to the Big 12 would be a good move. Arkansas should make the playoffs after a couple of years there.

Curious to see how good Michigan is with the new coach. He was pretty good at Utah with their talent level.

So 14 of the 15 toughest schedules are owned by SEC teams. Surprise surprise.

And #8 and #16 (B10) are only listed that high because they each play an SEC team.

Yep. And I wonder who influenced him. . . but we will never know. A logical answer would be short-term monetary gain or positioning for a super conference.

Take the Big 6 plus OU and Texas. By my count Arkansas is the only team that plays at least 6 of those 8 every year.
