Pretty much. It has a very small effect if any. Fans want to feel like they're on the team and make some huge impact on the game. Aside from the occasional offsides or delay of game it doesn't do much
As the teams get better, the effect becomes smaller and smaller. Compared to other conferences, there really aren't that many major upsets in the SEC which I think we all agree is the best conference.

Would not surprise me if we beat lsu by 2-3 tds at the Hare this year. Seriously. The Hare will be losing its mind that day and more pissed than any other game all year.

Prep your arse. Not even kidding. That is my betting game of the year for AU.

The last time something like that happened, Nick Saban was coaching at LSU. Miles owns Auburn.

I see Tiger in Miami brought his usual brand of crazy to the discussion

in my opinion home field advantage is overrated across the board

good teams don't get affected by noise, they still win. Was beating Oregon in Oregon all that difficult ten-fifteen years ago? No. Now they're good and they advertise it as a great home field advantage. When LSU was shitty winning in Tiger Stadium wasn't a big deal. Then they got good and now if the earth is turned away from the sun watch out because their magic stadium voodoo will help them win a football game.

This might be true.

Auburn has the most underrated, period. When the Hare gets pissed the frick off somebody is fricked. '85 bears would have gotten their arse kicked on December 2, 1989 if they were on the field that day.

OK....I LOL'd at this one.....that is probably true.

here's what gets me

you're paying a coach millions of dollars as a proven winner, you put millions into your weight room and facilities, and you've recruited some of the best athletes in the United States

but you think you're going to win because your drunk student section is "super pissed brah"?

fricking ridiculous

Recruiting, yes. Field play, absolutely not

Is it overstated sometimes, sure, but I have witnessed many occasions where the TS crowd absolutely affected the game in a meaningful way.

Just because BDS isn't one of those places doesn't mean it doesn't happen anywhere.

Sumlin has been here two years. And has averaged 10 wins a season with guys that he didn't recruit.

Let's see what he can do with his own recruits.

And I'm not sure what your comment has to do with anything. We've always had a very loud fanbase. Even during the fran years.

Never have had back to back ten win seasons. Exactly what type of home field advantage do they have. Noise is overrated.

There are times where you can just feel it. There's a certain something in the air. More often than not it effects LSU in a positive way more than it hurts the opponent in a negative way but coaches and players on both sides have commented on it for years and years and years.

I know that you don't get it and that's fine, just know that you don't have any idea what you're talking about.

So it worked 9 times against Bama but not the other 27?

You got the delusion.

Having a great HFA doesn't mean an automatic win. Y'all seem to have a really tough time with that.
