1. Texas A&M baseball - Schlossnagle to Earley.

2. Alabama football - Saban to DeBoer

3. Miss State women's hoops - Schaefer to McCray

4. Arkansas football - Bielema to Chad Morris

5. Tenner football - Kiffin to Dooley

6. SC football - Spurrier to Muschamp

Any other obvious ones who should be on the list?

Spurrier to Muschamp for SC in 2015/2016 is pretty damn bad.

I actually looked that one up and opted against, but you are probably right. I'll add it.

eehhhhhh

at the time kiffin hadn't done shite so this might be overblown

I think the clear choice that comes to mind for me is spurrier to zook.

I know it’s all relative to who you started with but nobody tanked a program like Chad Morris. FCM

SOS was 7-6 in 2014, 2-4 in 2015

Champ was 6-7 in 2016, 9-4 in 2017

Steve Spurrier went 86-49 at SC over 11 seasons.

Will Muschamp went 28-30 at SC over 5 seasons.

Title says one season to the next.

Mississippi State has had a few dandies.

2019 to 2020 went from 6-6 to 3-7 regular season but it was the COVID year.
2022 to 2023 went from 9-4 to 5-7
2023 to 2024 went from 5-7 to 2-10

Biggest dropoff goes unsurprisingly to Vanderbilt though
2013 to 2014 went from 9-4 to 3-9.

It didn't involve a coaching change (till later) and maybe needs an asterisk due to the COVID year, but LSU football 2019 to 2020 is about as drastic as it gets.

aTm aggy has certainly outdone themselves and their mediocrity

from preseason #1 to unranked, getting swept by 0-24 Mizzou, and no NCAA Tourney

unpossible

Can State maybe make the list with consecutive coaches and also twice within 10 years?
Mullen -> Moorehead

Leach -> Arntett -> Lebby

Also can't believe Meyer to Muschamp hasn't been mentioned yet

And if we're doing all sports, Will Wade to McMahon deserves a mention IMO

I look at it as 2019 to 2021. Married Orgeron to single Orgeron.

Title says, "coaching change". Hence it would be viewed as the quality of coaching from one year to the next. If you're going by team record then I would view it as biggest "team" based drop off from one season to the next.

I guess I was thinking about it from a record perspective but Florida went from 8-5 to 7-6 with that change.

Chad morris was 14-22 in the American conference and arky somehow overpaid for him. Arky administration tanked arky.
