TX with an A@M upset would be in front of quite a few 2 loss teams.

I can’t believe people keep trying to force this Vandy nonsense.

Their wins:
Char So 5-7
Va Tech 3-8
South Car 4-7
Ga St 1-10
Utah St 6-5
LSU 7-4
Mizz 7-4
Auburn 5-6
Kentucky 5-6

4 of those teams fired their coach.

Their losses:
Ala 9-2
TX 8-3

The lost to the only two teams with a pulse on their schedule. Beating a barely top 25 Tenn team does not vault them into the college football playoff discussion.

It’s a nice story but please stop. Teams like Tulane deserve to play in the playoff more than Vandy.

Vandy scheduled nobodies and va tech. Texas scheduled nobodies and osu. That’s the only difference.

And Vandy was getting annihilated against Texas until refs / injuries / we took the gas off let yall make it interesting, 0 lies told with that statement like it or not

Yep since one of TX 3 losses is playing @OSU its hard to see a scenario where TX wouldn't be in front of Vandy if they pulled the big upset. Can Vandy move ahead of BYU with a TN win though and get in if there is an upset somewhere?

Likely not but it’s not a 0% chance

Neither Texas or Vandy are getting in. They had their chances and lost just like a lot of other teams who won’t make it. Don’t worry though, within 8 years we’ll have a 24 team playoff and everyone will be happy until they lose.

The committee was created solely for the benefit of the B1G so take your best guess.

We could go round and round. I can find a bad loss on almost everyone’s schedule that’s a 2 loss team.

What's Vandy's bad loss? Texas?

Yeah, six SEC teams are not getting in.

Vandy and Texas need to pull hard for upsets in the Iron Bowl and OU-LSU so they could shuffle into those SEC slots maybe with some help elsewhere.

I said almost and for me H2H matters the most by far. And again, Vandy scheduled va tech Texas scheduled osu.

Give it to Vandy all you want but I promise you best case Texas gets screwed and the playoffs go to 16 teams so it doesn’t matter, worse case enough ADs make change by pulling out of these games with much less upside than downside and only winner is ESPN

Vandy really ruined themselves with their out of conference schedule.

If they had played a team like Baylor or NC state or Illinois then the would have a quality out of conference win.

But as it stands - they will be clinging to the Mizzou win and maybe a Tennessee win. Neither will move the needle.

Texas passed by Michigan this week. They made up a whole spot. They are basically screwed

I'm pretty sure Tenner is well into the top 25. I believe they are around 18th.

That said, you're crazy if you think Vandy is beating the Viles at Neyland. Not. Gonna. Happen.

And Texas won't smell a playoff either.

Well, except for almost every 2 loss team. Show your work: what are the bad losses for OK, ND, Miami, Utah, Vandy, and Mich? Even 3-loss USC doesn’t have a bad one. There’s not a single team in the top 25 having a loss as bad as yours.

Bama is the only team ahead of you that has a bad loss, and Bama has a pretty damn good string of wins: UGA, TN, Vandy, Mizzou, and LSU. Oh, and unlike you, only two losses.

You Texas fans whining about a 3-loss team not getting in reminds me of me last year.

Texas - they might try to sniff your junk, but they aren't sniffing a playoff.
