I disagree. If OSU wins big against Wisconsin they will put OSU in over Alabama. They WANT OSU in and they do not want 2 SEC teams in.

So who gets in if TCU beats OK then? That would allow for both Bama and tOSU to get in at 3 and 4.

They literally ranked 2 teams that shouldn't be in just to boost Bama's schedule. They ranked Bama 3 spots over tOSU. They are clearly telling us that if it comes down to tOSU and Bama, they are most likely going with Bama.

It's a win win.

If Auburn wins then Alabama looks a bit better.

If Auburn loses we can hug and go share a burger and talk about how we both almost made the playoff.

I'm fine with either scenario.

I think it is pretty clear the committee did.

I personally think it is BS --- in many ways this is the role reversal of why they denied PSU last year. The difference is in the name Ohio State. It is not based on performance but on the name, in my opinion.

Not if Wisconsin beats OSU, which is what i was saying. Then OSU has 3 losses and is definitely out.

Well, I am all for this one personally, so....

From an Alabama perspective, how about this?

Georgia beats Auburn
TCU beats Oklahoma
Wisconsin beats OSU
Miami beats Clemson

That would probably put:

Georgia
Wisconsin
Miami
Alabama in the playoffs.

I will not pull for Auburn.

That being said, if we make the playoff, I would enjoy getting to play Auburn again. Result might be the same, but at least we would have another shot.

literally doesn't matter who wins this game as far as Alabama is concerned. What matters is the TCU/Oklahoma game Wisconsin/Ohio State game and the Fresno/Boise game.

Bama needs AU to win. We’re not getting in without them also getting in. Losing to a would be three loss non-champ Auburn undermines what little resume we have. They need to win.

UGA winning does us no favors; they’re not on our schedule and would probably jump us in the rankings.

Best scenario for Bama to get in is for CU, AU, OSU, TCU, Stanford & Fresno St. to win.

Sorry but that simply is not True. TCU wins Bama is in. We would be taking Oklahoma's spot not Wisconsin or OSU's spot. You Georgia fans still don't know how this works.

What happens in the SECCG has no bearing on Bama. Our attention will be elsewhere. I don't have a rooting interest, but I don't like UGAs chances.

I think a Georgia win helps bama. Since they haven't played each other this year it creates a new matchup.
