Let’s not pretend like DKR is a hostile environment.

It’s full of a bunch of limp wrist fairies from Austin.

The LSU section will be louder than the UT crowd.

Inorite?!?! I'm sure this is evidenced by A&M's stellar record when playing there... right?

I have been to a few games there and it is the most quiet game day environment I have ever witnessed.

Didn't they use a guy with a jet pack to fly into the stadium before games to try and get people to come in early to create an atmosphere?

Not kidding. Half of our family are shorthorn fans from Georgetown and they recognize that DKR is not a great place for atmosphere.

If that is not the most cherry-picked timeline I've ever seen

Stop letting A&M push this ridiculous notion that they’ve accomplished anything and should be spoken about in the same breath as LSU, UGA, AU, Florida and Bama.

The only conclusion I can draw from that is that Texas used to be good.

It depends on the environment and the week.

This week, only one team plays in a hostile environment. The other plays in church.

A&M is in no fricking way top half of the SEC. They have done nothing. They’re on par with Ole Miss. Stop letting A&M push this ridiculous notion that they’ve accomplished anything and should be spoken about in the same breath as LSU, UGA, AU, Florida and Bama.

fricking chill. We’re all one game into the season. Let’s see how Saturday goes before we call anyone out.

LSU plays at Bama, UF and TAMU regularly. They’ve played in hostile environments. Texas isn’t anything special in terms of hostility.

One of those is not like the other.

I’m enjoying the UT fans talking to us about atmosphere. The loudest they get is when Mathew McConaughey is plastered on the scoreboard screens.

How awesome would it be if both teams won? If that happened would the SEC officially have its dignity back after UGA & the gumps gave away our man card last year?

Okay.

I'm guessing the 1902, 1907 and 1909 crowds were not a factor. The game was probably played in a hay field somewhere outside of Austin city limits.

The 1936 tie and the 1938 loss to LSU certainly both indicate that the 40,000 capacity was also not a factor.

The 1941, 1948, 1950, and 1954 LSU teams were all below .500 for each year, so again, it looks like LSU's poor team was the key factor and not the 40,000 in 41 or 60,000 in 48, 50 and 54.

How did I do?

DKKR Is a fricking Church

And when is the last time LSU has played in Austin? Any relevant stats in the last ten years? Didn’t think so.
