I think it will be Lane.

I think Lane wants to coach a school with enough talent to win a national title. Ole Miss doesn't have that. Teams with less than half their roster as blue chips haven't won a national title since recruiting rankings have existed.

Ole Miss has never been above 50%. UF, despite them not being good, is above that margin now. With a good coach they would have a shot. Ole Miss with a great coach still has no chance.

Now he might not want to coach at UF specifically. He might wait for a different top school to open up. But when that happens he's gone from Ole Miss.

I really think the coach from Indiana is going to be good one for Florida.. He is 3-0 right now. I know he is in the B1G but still it is worth keeping an eye on him. He is an upcoming HC at a lesser school.

This year will tell a lot... Saw ESPN just updated the FPI % whatever it is called. OM is favored in the rest of their games this year.

If OM makes a push this year, the money will continue to flow and he will be able to load back up and make a push again in 2026.

Heres the thing. He would have been in a playoff game in 2 of the last 3 years. Assuming this year, he would have been in a playoffs 3 out of 4 years.

We are acting like you can't win at OM, yet here they are being a pretty steady guest in the playoff.

I like this. We can do a swap and both be disappointed with our new coaches.

Is the awful contract following him to Florida?

Matt Rhule is the guy. He’s done well at Nebraska, and it’ll take a coach who understands the rebuild to right the ship

Drinkwitz just doesn't feel like a good fit. ISU's Campbell? He's lost some shine, but he's still a good coach.

Well yeah, Stricklin is notoriously bad at hiring. That tracks.

I think USF coach and Jed Fisch might be on the list.

That'd be a really good hire.

Maybe.

But not if they don't make massive and concrete changes to their AD and NIL structure.

Mizzou has it rolling and FL is a disaster, right now.
