Our receivers were dragging their DB all game. Dabo and his huge ego cost them this game. He wanted to brag about his special teams, which backfired, and refused to admit he was wrong about their QB. I always knew his ego would bring Clempson down in the end

Beamer. For the second year in a row. Next year should be the make or break for him. He can’t be coach of the year 3 years in a row but be 500 or worse in the SEC.

Smart, Heupel, Beamer & Kelly are in the running. You can make a case for all four.
Beamer winning the last two weeks against Top 10 teams and one of them was on the road to win 8 games probably tips the scales to him.
I will give a honorable mention to Leach. State coming in had a good team going against a very difficult schedule. 8-4 is a good year with the schedule we played.

It should be Kirby. He’s went undefeated in the regular season 2 years in a row. It’ll probably be Kelly though. The SEC normally gives it to the “most surprising coach” not the “best.”

An 8-4 Beamer that had a 14 pt loss to 6-6 Arkansas, a 41 pt loss to Georgia, a 13pt loss to 6-6 Missouri and a 31 pt loss to a 6-6 Florida is not COY over an undefeated Kirby Smart or a 10-2 Josh Heupel
