Looks like it will be a Bateman/Cornwell battle the next 2-3 years with that cat from california coming as well. I hope reloading that position turns into a disaster/nightmare for y'all.

I respectfully hope the same for you. I think Alabama has way too many talented options for that to be the case for us.

I doubt it. Saban's going to convert them to linemen and let Reuben Foster play quarterback, just to screw with the rest of the SEC.

Isn't it even money that this will happen on any given weekend?

Blake Sims is the backup this year. He's had some garbage time snaps against SEC competition in the past, but he's more of a dual threat type player. He'll compete with some talented younger guys who will be freshmen or redshirt freshmen this year IMO

In my opinion, Sims is only the backup as long as all we need is a backup. He's the change of pace guy that can come in during garbage time, or occasionally just for funsies. He's not the backup if we need to replace the starter long-term. One of the young guys will take the reigns next year.

Blake should basically be there for situations where Saban wants to go to the wildcat for a change of pace.

You may as well put Auburn in that list parkjas2001. AU has started 7 different QB's the last 7 season's - Nick Marshall may be starting QB in '13, who knows if he keeps his job to start the '14 season?

A&M. JFF leaves after this year and it'll be a battle between Matt Davis, Kenny Hill, and Kyle Allen for the starting job in 2014. From the reports and video I've seen, Kyle Allen has a legitimate shot at winning the job.

Georgia has Mason and Welch as backups right now. Both have thrown touchdowns at UGA.

They'll be available to start, Mason is the presumed starter and most senior guy. He'll actually be a senior.

There's also Christian Lemay who has just been awful, was supposed to be our dual threat Shockley guy.

Faton Bauta, another supposed dual threat new guy.

Brice Ramsey just came in this year, maybe he'll be throwing balls of lightning.

And we'll have this Parks kid coming in for 2014, maybe he'll be throwing balls of lightning right out of the gate.

For UGA, I'm more concerned about OL and OL depth for 2014 season. Right now we are in a sweet spot with good experienced guys and deep, in 2014 we'll still have depth but the guys won't be as battle-tested. You could say the same for tight end position in 2014.

At least we'll still have Gurley and MArshall, and Chubb and Michel.

The next 2013 SEC player to get kicked off the team for stealing from his team mates will be your starting quarterback in 2014. But not if it's from UGA.... the next guy UGA kicks off the team will be Arkansas' starting qb in 2014.

Jennings is going to get playing time this year.

True freshman who's already passed Stephen rivers for the #2 spot.

He will be a new starter but idk if you consider that breaking in...

I don't see any scenario where Jeff leaves after this year unless he has a Manziel type breakout year.

Driskel? A Manziel type breakout year? Right after the scenario where monkeys fly out of Muschamp's arse.
