Since they have used modern time keeping pieces

Joey Galloway has recorded the fastest 40 time of any college football player

Who is the SECs fastest player?

Trindon Holliday and Jeff Demps for starters

Leonard Scott was fast as hell too

We expand outside the SEC, Jacoby Ford

John Capel, former Florida WR in the 90's, went to 2 Olympic finals in the 200m.

Willie Gault from Tennessee, and later Chicago Bears, may be the fastest of all.

Devery Henderson was pretty damn fast. Unfortunately he had skillet hands in college.

In all of football, "Bullet" Bob Hayes was the fastest, and it's not even close.

In the SEC, Demps, Rainey, Bo Jackson, Hershel, Willie Gault come to mind.

*edit SEC Bo Jackson ran a 4.20

Deangelo Hall and Mike Vick 4.15 and 4.16 at Virginia Tech

Plumlee is not Vick fast. Not even close.

Bo Jackson apparently had a 4.12 forty. Which is just frankly insane and to this day I dont believe that's accurate because theres no way a dude that big should be able to run that fast. But theres no denying his speed and athleticism.

Other than that:

Chris Johnson at ECU
Jeff Demps at Florida
Trindon Holiday at LSU
Xavier Carter at LSU
Tedd Ginn at Ohio State

Just off my head

Idk why I keep forgetting about Devery. To this day he was the recipient of one of the biggest QB eye jukes on a safety I've ever seen when Brees hit him against the Pats in 09, and with his speed he was literally all alone. As Jim Henderson said "he could do the backstroke from there"
