He went to prep school for a year after graduating from Broughton. He was not dumb, just one of those kids that didn’t test well, like many us. My Aunt taught him in high school. Still a legend in Raleigh. This has a little more info.

You would be wrong about Ole Miss not having an HC. It has a top 15 HC. Average unweighted GPA of 3.97 and 32 ACT for last years admitted class. It is a great program.
