Kind of surprised at where he attended school. Not what I was expecting.

"Auburn White Student Union" distributed flyers expressing anti-Semitic messages on campus last week.
here is the issue I have with this, if you want to get rid of this group then get rid of all the student groups such as the LGBTQ groups and Black Lives Matters groups. While this claims to be a white student union, I assure you that the people who feel this way is a small minority.
This is one of those situations where you want free speech until you don't agree with it. You either believe in it or you don't.

This isn't a student group. This is an outside group (as pointed out earlier in this thread) that is trying to start this shite at multiple universities in the Southeast.

See, there is something fishy about this.
I'm a Southerner. And to be honest, unless things have really changed on campus, no one really thinks about Jews at all.
Yet they seem to be following the script from central casting.
Thinking about it, this kind of smells like one of those hoaxes (a number of them in the recent past) we've seen at various "elite" schools.
I really can't believe that very many students at Auburn get excited about Jews (though semitic properly means anyone of middle eastern ancestry).
It's possible that authentic "outside agitators" have this as their agenda, but I dunno. This sort of thing just never has caught on down here.
Or Spencer could be doing his own guerrilla marketing campaign. Wouldn't be surprised.

I guess it's ok to have minority safe space and all the minority organizations under the sun. I suspect this "White" thing is nothing more than a "We got tired of you getting away with it" thing.
I gave a huge list under the political forum of all the African American organizations that do not include whites, yet get all the glory under normal organizations.
Black USA beauty Pageant. BET (black entertainment television) - and 7 new ones recently popped up.
Oh hell screw that, here is a link to how many there are.

yeah but all these minority organizations we have nowadays are in some senses necessary for the maintenance of equal rights
White moderates like myself and I'd guess the majority of this board are really good at just sitting back and going with the flow (see MLKjr quote about danger of moderates vs. extremists) because we're ultimately okay and have little stake in social affairs such as these.
Minority groups, on the other hand, are always at risk of discrimination/persecution by these far right extremists like Spencer - or even some well-intended institutional cases, and certainly some not-so-well-intended - and staying organized together helps fight that and keep voices heard. For us white people to claim that we need that same right is absurd and insulting.
Look, I'm white. Politically, I'm somewhere between conservative and libertarian. But most of my friends are some shade of brown (their words, haha; black, Indian, etc.), and life for them isn't always the comperative cakewalk that it is for me. I know it's not popular to go around saying that in majority-white circles, but it's the truth. And allowing Richard Spencer to come and spew his offensive nonsense at Auburn would, at very best, just continue to perpetuate white willful ignorance.

Well it's absolutely proof of susceptibility to discrimination, which is more pertinent to the discussion of Richard Spencer and hate-speech, and I could consider it under the umbrella of "underprivileged" in certain interpretations.
I never made any explicit mention of institutionalized under-privilege in my initial statement, though your boy over there decided to take his inference and run with it. I simply chose to look past his own distortions and address the root of the issue.
