It's gonna be tough to break in a new defense in a neutral environment in game 1 against Petrino.
Couldn't the same be said for Louisville? Petrino's defense against Malzhan's offense won't be a cake walk.

ASU is preseason top 20.

A&M is the unranked underdog. Albeit close to home...

Petrino is a dick too, he'll probably try to run the score up

He's a good Offensive coach. Lost his starting Sophomore QB late in the season, won his last 2 regular season games after that, beating at Notre Dame and Kentucky. Lost to UGA in the Bowl. That QB will be back. They should be pretty good. I expect TAMU will be better this year.

'You are talking to a trolling loser.

And you are correct. it will be the same for them. They lost a lot last year. Our defense has some missing pieces coming in and with our linebacker and dLine experience, we should be just fine on defense.

Louisville doesn't have a new DC.

Does anybody do any research before they make a post ? Louisville is still looking for a QB, they lose their top three receivers and they have to replace three OL.

Perhaps, but I just figured that he was giving the only method in which Louisville will stay in that game - their offense exploiting any potential shortcomings on the AU defense due to it being the first game under Muschamp.

There's no way on God's green earth Petrino has a prayer in this game if it turns into anything remotely resembling a defensive standoff.

(Of course I say that, so now UL will win like 14-10 or something absurd, just so the universe will make a liar out of me ;p )

I don't need to do research to know that Petrino's defense will have problem's with Malzhan's offense in the opener.

Arizona State is breaking in:

2 new offensive tackles
A new quarterback
3 new wide receivers
2 new linebackers including MLB

Not a good recipe for success when opening against A&M.

Could very well happen. 4th best team we'll play all year.

The QB Arizona State is "breaking in" threw for over 500 yards twice in his 2 games started. They literally changed the offense for the guy when he was playing. Mike Bercovicci

Don't worry. I think you are OK. Our defense should have these guys

Carl Lawson, Monty Adams, Kris Frost, Cass, Tray Matthews, Jonathan jones. We should be OK.

Agree. Bercovici is good. QB is not the issue for ASU. But maybe their inexperience at other offensive positions would allow A&M to slow 'em down.

Breaking in two new tackles on the road against Myles and dae dae (whose gotten a spring and summer in the weight room for the first time since highschool, and is getting rave reviews) is not ideal.

I think the sec goes undefeated week 1.

Common sense says the Bama/Wisconsin is the most competitive game.

The only thing that gives me pause with saying that Bama has the highest chance of losing is that Saban just doesn't lose openers.

Another year, another prediction saying South Carolina will lose their opener. And it's only happened once since Spurrier has gotten here.

We aren't going to lose to UNC. That's my prediction.

They return 9 starters on defensive only losing S Damarious Randall and DL Marcus Hardison. As you can see, neither of which are linebackers. Starters Losses on D

aTm
USC
Auburn
Alabama

Arizona state is a good program and no one knows what aTm will do yet.
USC just because I thought they were replacing a good many players at key positions.
I believe Wisconsin is better than they are getting credit for and the game will be closer than some expect. They always have a big OL and good RB. I don't care if they're replacing their QB because apparently that doesn't matter after last year.

I have no idea what to think about Auburn. Conventional wisdom would say there will be growing pains on defense but I think that they may be the team to beat this year. I don't know much about Louisville other than who their head coach is.
