Oh really? Vanderbilt is a Nationally recognized academic University, ranking very high is many academic categories. It is a University that employs 20,000 individuals (largest private employer in Middle TN) and owns and operates 3 major hospitals, an off campus observatory and a very expensive piece of real estate in Franklin known as the Legends Golf course. Vanderbilt is in a much larger city than Knoxville and is in the geographic center of the State instead of far left field. Our endowment is close to 4 billion dollars representing the highest per student endowment in the SEC by far. We hold our own in basketball and excel in baseball. Our football program definitely needs proven longevity like it had in the old days. Three back to back bowls is a good start.

just because your team had a couple of good seasons recently doesnt get rid of the little brother tag. ATM is little brother. Auburn is also little brother. Vandy is little brother. those teams would have to have a hell of a run the next 10-15 years to equal their counterparts.

Those Cajun guidos will talk shite all year, and get their arse handed to them by 40-60 PTs. Then they will still insist they are UL, as in University of Louisiana, and not University of Louisiana Lafayette. In their minds they are the flagship school of Louisiana.

I can't believe how many people underestimate A&M.
They're sitting on a motherlode of recruiting, are a hot property on the minds of youngsters, and are going to be the chief beneficiary of the SEC platform boost. The only way this gets f'd up is through poor coaching (see Florida).
Otherwise, A&M is poised to be a perennial Top 10 for as far as the eye can see.

Do you think Texas is going to magically go away? Do you realize that Texas is superior to TAMU in academic rep, athletic tradition, head-to-head, conference wins, endowment?

PSA: I loath Texas and mean no disrespect to TAMU. You guys have closed the gap amazingly well over the past few years. But you aren't Utexas quite yet.

FSU Has always been trying to prove its worth to UF. FSU has the most hated lil bro syndrome that therapy can't cure. They started as an all girl school. Finally started admitting girlie-men. Took decades before UF even considered them worthy to play against them in any sport, especially football where it took the state legislator passing a law that forced UF to play them.
Many FSU students end up at FSU once they get their reject letters from UF. Being denied the prom screws with their heads many, many years later.
