Saying something doesn't make it true. Sometimes we love to troll... evidently within this thread, so do you.

However, Cajunbama got what he wanted in the tread. Damn it!

Is this even a question? Arkansas easily. They've had many classic games in football, basketball, and baseball since they joined the SEC. Some excellent football teams in the 60's and 70's too. Certainly not top tier in anything now (except Track & Field), but certainly significant.

Missouri can't even decide what their football uniforms and helmets should be. Basically a Nobody in the SEC. Outside the SEC no one even knows (or cares) what conference they are in.

This goes without saying. Just get ready.

When I said get ready it wasn’t about Arkansas, it was about what texas would inflict our conference with. Sorry to derail a debate.

Arkansas brings more to the SEC in basketball and baseball without question.

We don’t like logic here professor, but it’s a fine point you make.

Arkansas is a southern state that shares attributes and culture with the rest of the SEC original teams.

I don't have anything against Missouri or the state but it isn't a good fit in the SEC. It is a Midwest state that is a better fit in the Big 10.

Would it be fair to say you aren't interested in making a contribution to the Tiger Scholarship Fund?

Wait a minute. The pigs haven’t beaten Mizzou in football in the state of Missouri since 1944?

So your argument for Arkansas' vastly superior relevance is that they were excellent 50-60 years ago and have a couple good non-revenue sports. I swear, some of you Piggies on here have the self-awareness of a gnat.

Here's a dose of reality for you: Mizzou and Arkansas are very, very similar football programs, and nobody outside of a few dorks on a message board give a flying frick about that other stuff you mentioned.

Both Mizzou and Arkansas have some good seasons here and there, but are generally a tier or two below the upper echelon of the conference. Similarly sized schools, similar attendance figures, similar football revenue. The only lopsided statistic is the win-loss record. Mizzou owns them Hogs and has been the better football program since Mizzou joined the SEC.

Fayetteville is part of the same geographic and cultural region that occupies nearly 50% of Missouri. I never quite understand this argument. Sure, Kansas City is more western than southern. And the northern bit of the state might as well be Iowa. But I sure as hell can't tell the difference between Missouri and Arkansas when I cross the state lines other than the roads get notably worse as I head south.
