Saban got paid for losing to Auburn and Oklahoma? who knew?

Yep. He cashed the same paycheck the week after the Oklahoma loss as the week after the LSU slaughter.

Just like Les Miles gets paid to lose to the walk-ons at Ole Miss.

Seriously? BB is fired in 2 years if he does not make a dramatic turnaround. Saban is considered one of the top 5 coaches in history regardless of what he does from here out.

nah bruh, it don't work like that with bama fans working thru 47 f'n stages of grief

Bert has shown no evidence of anything but ineptitude......and he's well proven that.

true but some might have said the same about Gus year before last

bert and saban both have a lot to prove for different reasons imo

Saban pretty much proved everything there is to prove

the reality is everything from here on out is icing on the cake - his legacy is the best coach of the BCS era and now we get a couple more years before he calls it quits

nothing for the man to prove

Bert brought in some clout about going to Rose Bowls and blah blah blah B1G bullshite and face planted in his first year

no one in the SEC gives a shite about how many times you went to Pasadena, around here it's have you been to Atlanta?

If Saban went 0-12 Alabama fans would say it was because he wanted to.

People are starting to think the game may be passing saban by. saban going behind closed doors, and begging for rules changes that would help him, did nothing but fuel the fire that he is falling behind the times. bert does have to prove he can win an SEC game....so that will be a tall task for him. saban, final answer.

nah man that's all internet message board wankery - the game passed him by so bad last year he won 11 games?

the man has slayed the dragon multiple times, mounted their heads on the wall, and now sits on a crystal throne of giving zero fricks

edit: whoops gave him an extra win

The same was said about Bear Bryant after going 6-5 and 6-5-1 in 1969 and 1970. He made many changes to his team during the offseason and proceeded to dominate the 1970s.

And if being #1 and 11-0 going into the final week of the season is Saban's version of having the game pass him by, I'm completely fine with that.

It seems like the Aubs know nothing. I realize quite a few of them are trolling, but there are those among them who actually believe the fire has left Saban after a freaking 11-2 season. shite...there were some who said that after we went 10-3 in 2010.

Saban was lobbying for the same thing right after he beat Notre Dame in the BCSNCG. I don't know why people think this is something Saban came up with after the IB.

Bobby Bowden was the most revered coach in college football. He went from averaging 11 wins a season to averaging 7 wins a season. When the game passed him by, it took several years for people to realize it. They had top 5 recruiting class after top 5 recruiting class. Nobody thought it was possible for him to fall like he did. If we don't know our history, we are doomed to repeat it. Gus going in dry!

All coaches need to prove themselves.

Saban: He needs to prove he still can continue to keep that fire burning in his belly that won him 3 Champions.

Miles: He needs to prove that he can win National Championships without anything being connected to Saban.

Gus: He needs to prove he's not some one hit wonder.

Bret: He needs to prove he can win in the SEC

Sumlin: He needs to prove he wasn't riding the coattails of JFF.

Freeze: He needs to prove he wasn't the product of a weak conference.

Merlin's: He needs to prove he can win consistently.

Granted these are just one of many reason each coach has something to prove. JMHO.
