How about the one that made Brandon Harris look like the second coming?
The Kansas State game explains itself. Thursday night game in Kansas with a Big 12 officiating crew primed to make a statement against the conference that poached two of their top programs. Apart from kicking the opening kickoff out of bounds, Kansas State wasn't penalized once.

The Lee-Scott Academy Warriors.

This is usually the time of year that a Gus team starts putting all the pieces together offensively. I expect the good Auburn to show up. If they don't... I would not care to have an off day against State this year.

If you play like you did against Kstate do you think you beat MSU? Thus sub-par.
People look at the score, but do not know how the game flowed. AU was first and goal inside the 7 yard line to go up 17 points with six minutes to go. Poor play calling hurt AU all night, but AU still out gained KSU 360 yards to 250. But the rest of the SEC should fear AU only out gains them by a 100 yards and calling it a sub-par performance.

Goddamn, you guys are bursting with confidence. I almost feel bad for you guys. Sunday will be hard for you.

MY POINT EXACTLY... if yall make the same mistakes as the kstate game ie kick it out of bounds and dont score from the 7 yard line for whatever reason such as bad play calling and give us great field position. msu will take advantage of those opportunities. im not saying yall are going to play like that, i just think if that happens state will blow yall out

Which MSU team will show up? The one that lead UAB at home 26-20 at half and won 47-34, the one that gave up 548 yards or the one in MSU minds that are world beaters?
The moment will be too big for the grinders....

The sub par team.
Auburn really isn't that good this year imo
What are you basing this on? Auburn's beat down of an improved Arkansas team? Auburn's road win against a top 17 Kansas State team on Thursday night? Auburn's beat down of LSU? Auburn's beat down of San Jose State and Louisiana Tech?

I agree, but I doubt we play that bad on offense again.

quote:It depends. Has State gotten a KState level defense? People want to keep using that game as a sign Auburn isn't as good but ignore KState's only loss is to Auburn and they are ranked.
The sub-par one we saw almost give the game to KState or the team that manhandled LSU last saturday?
Marshall passed all over a better State defense last year and now he has a better offense and WRs.

I mean who else have the wildcats played? I think the game went poorly for Auburn despite the fact they won. It most certainly revealed that AU is capable for being beaten, even though KState wasn't able to finish.
On the flip side AU absolutely smoked LSU. They looked like far and away the best team in the nation last Saturday on the plains. I'm just curious which version of the team is closer to reality.

Who exactly has State played? A&M who had to go to OV to beat Arkansas, who Auburn blew out, or the same LSU team. Certainly no one with a defense.
Any team can be beaten.
Since more times than not they have look better than they did against KSU, I'd say closer to the later.

If there's one thing we have seen under Malzahn it's consistency in conference play. We're gonna show up, strap the helmets tight and hit people in the mouth. If MSU can handle it for four quarters they'll deserve to win. We'll find out.
But for anyone to discount what Auburn has accomplished so far this year is silly.. even more so when you compare it to others around the conference

The Rant's Auburn predictions are always funny.

They've avg'd 47.5 pts against the other 4 teams they've played. We held them to 14. Their biggest win so far is probably Tx Tech last week, who they beat 45-13. TX Tech isn't a great team, but they've got an offense that can score points.
Miss St beat So Miss, UAB(who they gave up 34 to), S Alabama, an overrated LSU team and manhandled A&M, who the jury is still out on. It's not like what Miss St has done is that much better than what we've done so far.
We beat Ark handily(held them to their lowest point total, total yards and rushing yards so far), San Jose St, K St at their house on a Thurs night, La Tech who we kind of sleepwalked through and murdered LSU, who again, was overrated. We scored over 100 combined points against SJst(59) and La Tech(45).
We're both good teams on both side of the ball. We're both pretty evenly matched. Should be a damn good game.

I think everyone was just in awe (and as an AU fan spoiled) by what we did last year offensively. The ease with which we could just hand the ball off and run on everybody was unprecedented in this conference. Thus, even though this year we are still putting up big numbers offensively it just doesn't feel like everything is clicking and that we are struggling some.

KState keeps moving up in the polls they'll be a top-10 team end of the year.

quote:Y'all are still putting up good numbers, your offense for some reason doesn't look as dangerous as last year though. By the end of last season, that running game looked unstoppable, this year it looks like they can stumble at times - just not as "fluid" of an offense as last season. But will probably get better as the Oline continue to gel.
