You're still not even top 20 in talent.
How are you measuring talent? High school recruiting? Portal? Wins/Losses?
He has a pretty good thing going on - which is the point of the whole thread. He has been stockpiling talent with each year being better than the last from a depth perspective.

You say he gets whatever he wants? It dont seem that he got the money to keep Baker and Peoples…
But he did. The money was there. Baker’s wife wanted back in Louisiana or some such shite

I think the two things can be true.
Mizzou is doing very well but they also aren't signing elite level talent, they're not even signing top end SEC talent.
This is why they won't be a true contender.

LSU might pursue him in the next year or two. Auburn could benefit from him, but Drink has been in the SEC long enough to know Auburn is where coaching careers go to die.
And LSU isn't far behind Auburn right now. Why the heck did LSU AD hire BK?

Sam Pittman beat the same amount of ranked teams as Drinkwitz has.
Drink’s feasted on some weak schedules. His best win was beating a 5-5 LSU team in 2020.

Hugh Freeze at Auburn .467
Brian Kelly at LSU .733
Are Mizzou fans just trying to outretard each other at this point?

He may or may not leave at some point, I have no idea. He’s near top 10 in coaches salaries. Reasonable expectations for the program and good NIL support. No longer competing with under the table bag men for recruits. He’s got the money to spend as he sees fit on portal or recruits. Close to several metro areas for recruiting. He can take the helicopter to STL, hit several HS games and be back home by midnight. He’s got a pretty good gig.
Different things drive and motivate folks. He may get bored and want a new challenge. Who knows. I don’t think money will be the driver.

Drink never wanted People's. He never got an interview.
You pay Baker 3 million because we had just signed him for over 2 million. You had to overpay to pry him away from Mizzou. And even then, it was his wife wanting to go back to LSU.
So Drink responds by paying Batoon who has put up better numbers than Baker.

He's not going anywhere. Boosters are writing checks at his every whim and we have excellent NIL laws in Missouri ..sorry not sorry MIZ
I’ve lived in MO my whole life, but this level of delusion is just comical. Mizzou is absolutely not a destination program. It’s a stepping stone program.

Interesting. Please name a “destination program,” whatever the hell that means.
USC?

Where is Drink going? He's going to beat Bama and then Aggie.
OK, no chance! And I certainly don't want to jinx him.

That would be impressive and certainly not impossible to do. Good luck!

He may want a chance to win a national championship, can’t do that at Mizzou

What I saw from Auburn fans and LSU fans that both wanted to get rid of their HC.

Drink to Florida
Kiffen stays at Ole Miss until Bama opens up
LSU keeps Kelly
UTranny keeps Sark
Another Arkansas bad hire
Another Auburn bad hire
This is the dream

I don't know what your definition of elite or top end SEC talent is. Maybe Arch? But Coleman, Olugbode, Norfleet, Hardy, Roberts, Pribula, Trotter, Smith, Wilson, Young say hi.

Moronic thread....
Drink isn't leaving Mizzou for any of the teams mentioned in this thread. It still amazes me how the fans of former blue blood programs have not been able to come to the realization that we have moved into a different era of college football. NIL brings parity in players and coaches. Blue bloods are panicking and rightfully so.
