When I think in terms of SEC history and gameday traditions, I think of:
Alabama
Auburn
Georgia
LSU
Ole Miss
Tennessee
Arky is the one I think of most in terms of the first round of newbies.
A&M and Mizzou don't spring to mind not because they're both simply wayyy too new.
lol on many levels.

LSU doesn't have any more tradition than Auburn. Auburn had more tradition before Saban arrived FWIW.
How do you figure?
At no point in history has Auburn hd more SEC championships than LSU. Neither has Auburn ever had a winning record vs LSU head to head. Auburn has ALWAYS been behind LSU and Georgia when it come to 'tradition'.
The only thng Auburn has been known for throughout time is being Alabama's little brother. Sorry, but it's true.
I remember some dumb frick aubbie trying to tell me one time that, "Auburn played in the first bowl game played on foreign soil, the 1937 Barcardi Bowl in Havanna, Cuba." I pointed out to him that LSU actually played in the first Barcardi Bowl some 30 years earlier in 1907, but he didn't believe me. Just because you're ignorant of LSU's traditions doesn't mean they lack them.

3a. UGA

Actually this is false, Auburn has a bird fly around the stadium pre-game like Air Force does and they use to toilet paper trees until this "tradition" caused the trees to become sick and die.

I think you have to give Florida credit
They've built a all around athletic program in the last 25 years
In a time when the competition in mostly all SEC sports was tough as hell
Yes it's only been the last 25 years but its pretty impressive

You realize that Auburn is like 30 games behind LSU for all time wins and A&M is another 20 back?

In the south, football is the prevalent sport by far and the first that comes to mind for 90% of southern sports fans.
In terms of other traditions, Auburn has more than LSU and has started more.

Good to see you're at least expanding on your Auburn/OM obsession to include other schools... What do you think about the moves the Saints have made this offseason ?
I'm joking... I know you dont know jack shite about the Saints.

Things can change, Auburn use to have the series lead against Vandy, for example.

What auburn programs have been relevant male or female in a national way
That's what I'm thinking this thread is about
Idk what the hell you are saying. Unless its the bird and the trees but I'll pass

Alabama
Auburn
Georgia
Tennessee
With those 4 I think The Original/Old Power SEC Tradition.
With Auburn, LSU and Florida the recent success with SEC Championships and National Championships they've had the last 20 years, they've earned their spots at the table
A&M had a rich culture/tradition long before joining the SEC, joining the conference is only going to make that even stronger
