That's correct!

In 2009, #10 LSU was +6.5 underdog against unranked Ole Miss in Oxford. Ole Miss won 25-23.

Yes games from 13 seasons ago are definitely relevant to this discussion

Sounds like betting on the unranked favorite to cover might be a good idea

Remember when Ole Miss was ranked #3 and played #24 LSU? Didn't we have a team full of freshmen that year?

I was at that game, stadium was amazing

In case you need a replay

YT link to full game

Cliffs:

LSU 10
Ole Piss 7

LSU has beaten no one of note and lost to a dumpster fire FSU program.

When was the last time the #7 team was the underdog to an unranked team is the question here!

I'm sure someone could find an answer if they had the time to research it.

I disagree, unfortunately I think Ole Miss is one of the most untested late October 7th ranked teams ever. I hope they prove me wrong, but I think they are in for tough afternoon.

I disagree, we’re untested by SEC schedule standards and have played a very soft schedule so far. Most untested ever? No, every year teams like Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, etc are top 10 after playing literally no one, as they don’t have an SEC gauntlet to get through and usually play one team with a pulse before bowl season. We’ll see how good or bad we are after the next few games, but those teams get passes every single year and never have to prove anything until bowl season before we find out if they were the real deal or not.

I’m pretty sure OM closed at -1. I bet on that game.

Watch and see. I don't see any position that LSU has any real advantage over Ole Miss.
