What part of that was on LSU? We hired a guy and the other school wouldn't let him finish the year.

You fired Kelly and Woodward. You had no head coach, no AD, no school president. The AD you hired was a former associate AD who was suspended a month for covering up sexual harassments and assaults that were part of a class action federal lawsuit that LSU settled out of court. At the press conference where he spoke about the coaching search he announced that the expectation was that LSU would make the playoffs every season - something that is just not reasonable.

Then LSU said they didn’t fire Kelly. Weeks after your interim head coach had accepted the job and had his introductory press conference. Where he compared the firing of Brian Kelly to the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor.

Then you tried to spin it as for cause and LSU said they weren’t gonna pay the buyout. They tried character assassination of Brian Kelly. Brian Kelly’s lawyers issued statements amounting to “FAFO”. LSU backef down. In the midst of all this Louisiana’s governor got involved.

LSU’s interim coach went to Ole Miss. Instead of decimating the Ole Miss roster as all the ranters predicted, the rest of college football is pillaging LSU’s roster. Ole Miss just signed LSU’s 4 star offensive lineman, the position LSU needs most help at. LSU currently has zero scholarship quarterbacks. LSU is likely going to end up with their lowest ranked recruiting class in over 20 years.

The media has turned on Lane. He was turned away from appearing on the Ole Miss/Georgia broadcast - so he had to attend a women’s basketball game while his former team played in the playoffs. He has been drawn and quartered in print, on radio, on television. People have had a field day with his paid actor dog.

The best part is that LSU is paying a bonus for every Ole Miss playoff victory.

Yeah, just like LSU planned it.

I am sure sidewalk will show up to correct some detail like “well actually, it was 10 days, not two weeks.” And other LSU fans will spin it that being blackballed and ostracized is a good thing for a coach. And there will be 27 “MELT!!!” comments.

Let’s be honest when has Lane not been a circus. He has been that way since he was in college.

That’s a lot of text to say we hired the first and only coach we targeted.
