What part of that was on LSU? We hired a guy and the other school wouldn't let him finish the year.

You fired Kelly and Woodward. You had no head coach, no AD, no school president. The AD you hired was a former associate AD who was suspended a month for covering up sexual harassments and assaults that were part of a class action federal lawsuit that LSU settled out of court. At the press conference where he spoke about the coaching search he announced that the expectation was that LSU would make the playoffs every season - something that is just not reasonable.

Then LSU said they didn’t fire Kelly. Weeks after your interim head coach had accepted the job and had his introductory press conference. Where he compared the firing of Brian Kelly to the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor.

Then you tried to spin it as for cause and LSU said they weren’t gonna pay the buyout. They tried character assassination of Brian Kelly. Brian Kelly’s lawyers issued statements amounting to “FAFO”. LSU backef down. In the midst of all this Louisiana’s governor got involved.

LSU’s interim coach went to Ole Miss. Instead of decimating the Ole Miss roster as all the ranters predicted, the rest of college football is pillaging LSU’s roster. Ole Miss just signed LSU’s 4 star offensive lineman, the position LSU needs most help at. LSU currently has zero scholarship quarterbacks. LSU is likely going to end up with their lowest ranked recruiting class in over 20 years.

The media has turned on Lane. He was turned away from appearing on the Ole Miss/Georgia broadcast - so he had to attend a women’s basketball game while his former team played in the playoffs. He has been drawn and quartered in print, on radio, on television. People have had a field day with his paid actor dog.

The best part is that LSU is paying a bonus for every Ole Miss playoff victory.

Yeah, just like LSU planned it.

I am sure sidewalk will show up to correct some detail like “well actually, it was 10 days, not two weeks.” And other LSU fans will spin it that being blackballed and ostracized is a good thing for a coach. And there will be 27 “MELT!!!” comments.

Let’s be honest when has Lane not been a circus. He has been that way since he was in college.

That’s a lot of text to say we hired the first and only coach we targeted.

Incoming from Cap Dalton "36 reasons why Sam Leavitt is a terrible QB." Gotta admit Cap, you know more about the current state of LSU football than I do. Can I cheat off you on the midterm exam?

You forget that before you lucked into Nick "I will not be the Alabama coach" Saban, you sought Beamer, Bowden, Spurrier and Rich Rod.
Rodriguez reneged after accepting.

The vitriol unleashed on Kiffin is unprecedented and largely created by a vindictive media. We don't care. We got our guy, who was absolutely the best coach available.
Anyone who can take a pathetic loser runt program like Ole Miss and turn them into a winner and contender is a miracle worker.

First question… why do you care so damn much? It’s only a football coach and yall have literally blown this whole thing into a fricking circus. You guys need to take a step away from the ledge.

2nd….As poorly as possible? Like so many other hires in cfb this year right? Coaches taking ENTIRE rosters with them to some schools. But not Lane. Some coaches who GOT to coach their playoff team (who took other jobs) but not Lane. So someone explain to me how we were worse? Sorry, Lane wasn’t going to be conned into a lifetime contract just to coach his team HE had built in the playoffs. Yall are the biggest bunch of hypocritical, whiny arse crybaby fans in the entire college football world right now. And Lane is taking notes…believe me. This so called circus was caused by the butthurt media/SEC fans who just couldn’t handle it

what was handled poorly. LSU hired Kiffin. he hired his offensive staff. he let them continue to coach Ole Miss through the playoffs. now they are back at LSU doing their new jobs. everyone can see the fear and stupidity in your post. enjoy DeBoer.
