Probably the biggest melt is going to be from the team that gets bumped in order to let UTrans in. And that isn't A&M.

Actually, Alabama or Notre Dame would probably have to go and that would be very interesting!

Not sure why Tex even wants to be in, they'll run into multiple teams glad to give them an even bigger L than the one they took in Athens

The level of desperation on display from horn fans is embarrassing

I just checked and FanDuel is offering 250:1 for Texas to win the title.

With no further information, this tells me they aren't going to the Playoffs.

Desperation? Drama much?

I see some horn fans trying to make a case for why we should be in (like bama and ole miss last year). I don't happen to agree with them but this is a sports message board. This is exactly the kind of discussion you'd expect here. Just like last year.
I realize that, as an aggie, you can't see this objectively, but this is nothing new and there are a hell of a lot of us on the Texas side who don't think we should go.
Complain to Saban and Meyer. They're the ones keeping this narrative going. I wish they'd stfu.

Anyone with half a brain can see this. The rankings alone should tell you that we have no path. All these hysterics over nothing.

Or named South Carolina, Ark, or Auburn for ATM... or Texas again. It goes both ways Sarge. Your close wins are no different than Texas close wins.

Wishcasting....

Even if you assume the ideal circumstances of Georgia and Texas Tech winning.

Texas would have to magically jump 2 loss Vanderbilt, 2 loss Miami (who beat FL), 2 loss BYU (only losses to TTU), and 3 loss Alabama and that is after the CFP said repeatedly last year that losses in the CCG were not going to penalize teams like regular season losses.

I will say this, the betting lines for Texas getting in MASSIVELY shifted in the last 2 hours or so in Texas' favor.

I think there is a leak in the committee/ESPN and feeding Vegas now to adjust their line.

The Longhorns aren't getting in because math exists and there won't be enough spots left for the SEC to get a sixth team in and we'll be lucky to get a fifth team in.
