He wasn't fired, he landed a better job at TCU.

My guess is someone has already RA'd about this comment.

You are heading to ban land. You do realize that don't you?

Want to put a sig bet on it? You would consider Pendergrast better correct? Also Shoop right?

I think once the new DC is hired, LSU fans will realize they're not as desirable as they used to be

Not really, at least in terms of this position.

The LSU defensive coordinator position is still a very desirable one. Simply because of all the talent. The fact that we have to search so late in the game is what makes it tough.

If Chavis would have left three weeks ago, LSU would have likely been in on the fight for Muschamp.

ETA: I agree that offensive positions with LSU probably aren't very desirable anymore.

Has LSU ever been awesome on offense? Seems like the years they won it it was about ball control and defense.

That stytle of play doesn't work much anymore, given all colleges who do a spread or hurry up offense.

I think Auburn fans will admit Champ would have come here. Not as much rebuilding to be done at all. This isnt a slight to Aubie, as any OC would choose them over us

LSU should be able to go snag Muschamp now, if what you say is true, it wouldn't be the first time a DC signed with one SEC team in December then left for another in January.

You don't think Studrawa should't have been fired?

Not really. We have been extremely effecient before though, which is more effective IMHO

Where else can you make 600K a year just for telling Gus how "great" he is every day?

LSU just isn't a desirable job anymore. Maybe the next Saban will show up in the next 40 years and resurrect their program again.

is Muschamp really that great at defense? I didn't really see it with the Florida teams.

I mean what is the point of this board anymore? There is pretty much zero true discussion

I think he is good, albeit slightly overrated. His Texas years were not the best either

I have been in Nashville since Dec 26 and did not know LSU had terminated any coach.

The offense didn't help his defense very much.

He did a decent job at Texas for what he had to work with, his defenses were ok at Auburn under Tuberville.
