I think that our conference should be the first to get there and should just go ahead and get it over with. It would make things a whole lot easier with scheduling and solidify the SEC's future for a good 50 years, at least, especially if we added the States of Virginia and North Carolina to our footprint. I think that these two states being added to our conference in the future is inevitable anyway. We could then focus on strengthening all of our schools in the SEC both athletically and academically. I know that when it comes to realignment, we almost always think about how it will effect our sport's programs, but we are also adding "Universities" to our conference as well...not just football teams. Like I said, getting to 16 Universities is inevitable. When do you think we will see it? 5 years? 25 years?

Well it's going to happen anyway, and being at 14 teams right now really isn't making much sense as far as scheduling is concerned.

He seems to have prematurely shot his wad on what was supposed to be a dry run if you will, so I'm afraid he has something of a mess on his hands.

Mister Tee
There's plenty of wasted time in the frecking off season to discuss this shite and hash and rehash over every scenario.

There is still FOOTBALL to be played in case you didn't notice.

When the playoff field expands and conference champions automatically qualify, just play a 10-game schedule. One permanent opponent and three rotating opponents. Everyone gets to play everyone every other year and traditional rivalries can be preserved.

Since it has come to a point that schools get picked to join a conference mainly for the extra TV viewers, I wish they would just do away with all conferences. Seems you would want to add good teams for better games and a stronger conference, not for more viewers but that's what it's came too unfortunately

Next season the SEC goes North into Ohio and capture Toledo to create an automatic blood feud with Bert

I hope never. 14 is already too big.

All they are doing is watering down the brand.

Honestly all they need to do is kick out Missouri and bring in Virginia Tech and the SEC would be perfect.

Of course a Clemson fan would say that.

Someone is pissed a traditionally shittier South Carolina program is going to make like $10 million extra a year in TV money over Clemson's shitty ACC check.

Shows how the so called high hog people think I guess. I enjoy watching good games more than worrying about how much money teams make.

I'd favor a contraction over an expansion.
