January arrest and high speed chase with police revealed. What makes a kid with a promising lucrative career in the NFL go crazy and lose it all. LINK

Mark Richt definitely had something to do with it.

He's lucky he didn't kill himself or anyone else going 140 on that route. There are lights pretty regularly and it's already a semi dangerous road.

Got his first round bonus money and gave zero fricks about anything else. Pure stupidity is the only explanation for the shite he's been doing.

My guess is he doesn't love football and saw it only as a way to make money. What he didn't realize is that you get generationally rich off of the second contract.

I am assuming this is 316? It is unbelievable dangerous to drive 140 MPH on that road, especially in Barrow County where people may be turning right on red on to that road from Carl Bethlehem, 11, 211 etc. and cannot possibly account for someone driving that fast.

If it's 316 between Atlanta and Athens then he probably had to run at least a couple of red lights just to reach that speed.

Wilson is going to wind up killing someone if he doesn't get his life together. It will be a small blessing if it's only himself.

It's so weird what's happened to him, wish we could get the full story because at UGA you never heard a peep out of him. Whenever he was interviewed, he seemed to say all the right things and had good perspective. This has really surprised me.

Not sure there is a "full" story.

He obviously was much better off in a controlled, disciplined environment.

Money and freedom are the two things most everyone desires but it can become a toxic cocktail combined with mental illness/bi-polar disorder.

This story will not end well without him getting professional help

When you are young and go from being broke having to follow a strict schedule to being a millionaire with freedom, it doesn't surprise me that he got lost in temptations. Hopefully he can turn his life around

Lots of college athletes follow the path of being broke to instant millionaires and many are able to handle the situation.

BTW,these kids aren't "broke" in college.Pell Grants,COA stipends along with room and board stipends make for a pretty comfortable living while in college.

Yes that's true, at the end of the day it comes down to being disciplined, putting everything into perspective and being a professional. There's always time to party but his priorities wasn't in order.
