Tough choice between the hobnail boot game (mainly because of Larry Munson's iconic call of the final play) and last year ending their stay at #1 in the rankings after just 4 days.

2001 was epic, 2006 in Neyland, 2011 we embarassed them in Neyland, 2007 took the SEC title, 2018 another arse whooping in Neyland. All great....

That's the game that sent them into the wilderness. It initiated the Fulmer curse that continues today.

But most of them have been in this century, which is really all that matters to most sane fans.

2007

Alabama was a slight home underdog and beat the eventual sec east champions 41-17 to start a 15 game winning streak.

Honorable mentions
2005 6-3 game
2009 Blocked field goal

My Wedding Day
September 13, 1986
Don Smith & Company beat the 8th ranked Volunteers 27-23 in Neyland Stadium.
Game was on TBS and was the early game that day (1140A) and State pulled out a great win. Wedding was that evening at 6P but that started the day well!!!
I still have a copy of the VHS tape of the game. I also sent a tape to my brother in Korea to watch. And he and his Army buddies thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thank you for the memory.

1990, Vols were really good, but Bama's D played lights out and Doyle hitting a 47 yard FG with no time on the clock to give Bama 5 in a row over them

Yea prolly not,

Y'all haven't played for a championship since 2007. They've done it twice since then. So yeah, fact is they've been more relevant than y'all since joining the SEC.
