That game was terrifying. I drove back to LR after the game and the weather was somehow worse. That game never would be played in 2023.

Coach Stoops first season we played Alabama State. Late November. Like 10* outside. I sat through all of it.

I recall a miserably cold and wet game in the 80s as a youngin with my dad v either Vandy or LSU. It was a yellow team. That sucked a lot I recall.

LSU vs Fl state in 94 I believe. It fricking stormed so hard I couldn’t see the eat side of the stadium from the student section. I bet it rained 6-7 inches in 3 hours.

The LSU-TN game in November 2018 rain storm that came through around halftime was pretty bad. We couldn’t see the feild at kickoff in the second half. Temp dropped 15-20 degrees in about 30 minutes.

1997 A&M vs. Texas at Kyle Field. It rained buckets. Lightning knocked out the scoreboard. They never even thought about delaying the game. Those were the days.

2009 West Virginia @ Auburn game, "The Rain Game", hands down

Here's a great article from The Athletic on the 10th anniversary that tells the story: LINK

4 inches of rain in 1 hour, you couldn't even see the other side of the stadium through all the rain. The entire student section staying put for the rain delay, singing "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" by CCR. So many cell phones got ruined, but nobody cared in the moment. Lines were out the door at cell phone stores around Auburn for the next week after this game. I remember looking up and seeing that some West Virginia fans in the upper deck were letting souvenir cups fill up with water and dumping them on the student section below, but with how much rain was already falling you couldn't even feel the difference if they hit you. Good times...

Same day but different game for me

October 13, 2001.
Ole Miss beat Alabama that day in Oxford and I’ve never been more soaked in my life. It was miserable

LSU vs Tennessee in Neyland stadium in 2017. There was a monsoon with winds and pounding rain. My wife and I along with one our sons was in the upper deck maybe a dozen rows from the small roof around the stadium. We went to the top row. I squeezed between an I-Beam and made out better than 99% of the crowd.

Worst I sat through was Morris’ first spring game in LR. Ice storm. Should have been a forewarning on what was to come for the Morris hogs. Sucked all around
