Auburn - 2006 Georgia?

2006 Arkansas was more "devastating" than UGA.

Not even close. That was early enough in the season for y'all to recover from.

No it wasn't because Arkansas only lost 1 SEC game and thus no matter what we did from there we still wouldn't have made it to Atlanta.

Beating UGA obviously would have been nice and losing at home as big favorites sucked but ultimately we weren't winning anything that season given how results played out after Arkansas.

Don't doubt me with Auburn devastation bro, I know it as well as anyone.

Were those results flip flopped we would have played Florida again in the Dome with a berth in the title game on the line.

Yeah, I guess it was a pain that a half a dozen national championships can't soothe.

The older Bama fans always reference this one as the biggest "what the heck" game. A blocked punt returned for a TD is not very common, but two in one quarter is crazy (and by the same guy).

I was a UA freshman. If I hadn't been there I would have thought it had to be an instant replay. Same damn play

It was blocked by the same guy (Newton) and returned by the same guy (David Langner..who recently died). The fricking 2 plays were identical twins of each other. Greg Gantt (a great punter who kicked a bunch of years for the Jets...he's dead, too) was Alabama's punter and he was a 3 step punter, and Auburn's special teams coach made them pay. I'll swear to you, that was about the only way Auburn could have scored on Alabama that day..a turnover for a TD.

It must be, because you're still whining about it.

Sad.

2005. In Death Valley John Vaughn was 1-6 in field goals. AU lost 20-17. Snapped AU's 12 conference game win streak.

That's right Bama fans. AU once had a field goal kicker not named Cade Foster that single handedly lost the game. AU had over 400 yards of offense. It hurt. It hurt bad.

So much grief and anger.

Just let it all out; you'll feel better.

Or maybe not.

Son, if you're gonna seriously try to troll somebody, you need to know what you're doing.....and you don't. Go find a grown up who'll help you, then get back to me.

It's working pretty well so far.

Thanks for the advice, though.

2001 Tennessee was trbl for us. We likely won't that game and the sec if it doesn't get postponed.

ETA wed likely also play Miami for a Natty but I doubt we'd win that game. Game may have cost us Spurrier too but without that we may never get Meyer and out last 2 titles.

2014- Bama 25-MState 20

Win that game and we are in the playoff. At least I believe we would have beaten OM and would have beaten Missouri in the SEC Championship game.

Embarrassing losses
Maine, Auburn 3-2 in 2008 are at the top.

We all love Sherrill but forget we lost to teams like NE Louisiana and Troy during his tenure.
