Both are overhyped every year and get boatraced in the CFP.

Plus OU typically plays an easier Big12 schedule amd often has a squirrely loss every year.

The top 5 rankings they're getting are a joke.

One plays Offense and one plays Defense. Combine them and you would have a juggernaut!

And OU is actually a pretty good football team.

Oklahoma is better. Kelly will tell you they are elite but I suspect they are merely pretty good instead.

OU is a much, much better program than ND.

How so?

The essence of the question here.

I see a much better offense and a worse defense that has issues playing 4 full quarters.

Speaking of boat raced, how about 34-10 when you came to Norman.

And I wouldn't call a two overtime loss to Georgia being boat raced.

I wouldn't call an 11 point loss to Alabama as a boat race - even if they did control the game from start to finish due to our terrible start.

LSU - I'll give you that one.

And I don't see Notre Dame pounding Alabama, Auburn, or Florida in bowl games. Oh, I forgot, this is where you add in the litany of excuses because they didn't want to be there.

OU has only gotten blown out in one playoff game, and it was against an LSU team that blew everyone out. ND gets murdered every time.

6 of Notre Dame's 7 Heisman Trophy winners occurred before segregation in CFB. Tim Brown in '87 is ND's most recent.

6 of Oklahoma's 7 Heisman Trophy winners occurred after segregation in CFB. OU has had 5 Heisman winners since 2003.

that's a good place to start, anyways.

OU is far better. They have a BCS era natty and a overall bowl winning pct.

ND is sub .500 in bowls and made their name by being independent and beating a lot of shite schools. They have claimed national titles but never won an actual title game.

They’re a good program and were dominant in the 40s. Otherwise, they’re a paper tiger

Yeah, we're the little sisters of the poor right now. I'm not resting on our own loins here. PS look forward to a return trip.

Alabama

They were up 21-0 or 28-0 at one point? With probably your best offense/team to date.

I'm fine giving you an edge over ND but you're overrated year after year.

OU finishes every year ranked pretty high. Who ranked lower at the end of the past few years would you put a head of them? To me there’s Alabama and recently Clemson than a drop off after that. If you take the 5th ranked team each year OU made the playoffs and swap them, they likely get beat in the same fashion or worse. OU just hasn’t had the defensive players to compete but that looks to be changing.

Notre Dame should be commended for holding Alabama to just 31 points in the Rose Bowl.
