Where everyone's cleat is when they get hurt.

Any that was years ago...well before this concert...when no one ever had an issue with our turf. So, this idea that our turf might be bad in 2018 because of an upcoming concert had to do with Lattimore's injury like 7 years ago when our turf was fine is perplexing at best.

All but Oakland and that is ending with the Vegas move.

Heck they cancelled the HOF game a year ago over field conditions.

The Ravens refused to play a preseason game a few years ago too, I think in Philly because the turf was too hard.

It is a game vs. Coastal Carolina. We will be fine. lol

I'd be more worried about someone blowing out a knee or hamstring if turf gives way than the game itself.

Um...that's because they literally melted the rubber base layer of the artificial turf while trying to dry it out. That was an extreme case. It would be like if SC didn't replace the grass and just played on the dirt patch left after the concert.

This sounds like another “Ray Tanner Special.”

He is like the young cousin who finally gets to sit at the adult table on Thanksgiving. Poor guy. Even got abused by the App State AD. Yikes.

And just think of all that $$$$ they are going to pay the school for using the stadium...

$2.8 million is word on the street.

That's some serious coin even after replacing the turf is deducted, along with clean up. Concessions add to the profit. We don't make money on shirt and souvenier reciepts. Not sure how much of the tab the city is picking-up but it's quite a bit because of the revenue it generates at hotels and restaurants.

Stadiums put in new sod a week before a game all the time without an issue. The Rose Bowl looks pretty awesome, doesnt it? This process is a little different than your redneck neighbor going to Home Depot and hiring 10 guys to throw down some St. Augustine.
