Dumb idea. Grass is not going to take root in that short of a time. It's going to be a shite show and most likely some players will get injured.

From the article:

quote:

“The easiest way to explain it is the sheer weight of the sod holds it in place,” Cox said. “It’s a sod that is grown in a particular way that allows us to put the sod down and play on it immediately. It’s a process that has gained popularity over the last couple of years. From a playability standpoint, the field should be ready to go as soon as we put it down.”

There's no way a surface is going to root in a week.

Gonna be sad when one of their star wrs blows an acl when the turf gives.

Worse is we come in the next week when it could be even worse and have had to catastrophic injuries on UTs shite turf.

NFL teams refuse to play on shite fields, could be interting.

Your players still have to play on it and risk injury

Marcus Lattimore saw his first round opportunity and career go to shite because of crap turf.

It's important.

I mean probably. But y'all are acting like there should be zero concern.

I would be somewhat concerned but it's not a huge deal. Let's say it doesn't set in for the Coastal Carolina game and it gets all torn up. Then they have to go back and fix it. Then that has to set in but you have another game coming up (don't know your schedule).

So while you may say well we just have a cupcake coming up so who cares. It could possibly be a problem that lingers throughout the season.

Sky's not falling but just a concern I would have

Wtf are you talking about?

A Tennessee player put his helmet into Lattimore's knee. That had nothing to do with the turf.

So much trolling.

Uh, he had two injuries. One was @MSU and the other was in Columbia, both occurred because a player went crashing into his knee.
