Their QB was the definition of mediocre, their offense was streaky at best. The defense was above average.
This was a team that was buoyed by a victory over an average Alabama so much that people seemed to forget they got manhandled by Arkansas, a bad team.

There should have been a red flag about Tennessee belonging in the playoffs. Tennessee lost to Arkansas. Then look what happened to Tennessee when Mizzou blew out Tennessee the last time those two teams played each other. Then look at what Mizzou did against OSU last year. Heupel probably didn't think OSU was that good of a team since Mizzou beat OSU last year.

Yep, they won their way in. Playing Ohio state in Columbus is tough for anyone.
