Interesting choice, he could do well. Muschamp and Orgeron seem the be doing better in their second chance. Who ever it is Ole Miss needs to have patience NCAA may really set them back.

There's a better chance of Trump naming an ISIS leader as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs

I'm sure the boosters, who likely mostly make up the age demographic that would put them as students at OM in the 60s, would give their full support to a black head coach.

After Texas, and after what happened to O at Ole Miss, Strong would have to be a retard to go to Ole Miss.

Ok if you could get him. Why would he come not knowing what he faces sanctions wise. I would think he would be better off as a coordinator at a top 10 or 15 school and rebuild his resume. JMO

He couldn't win at Texas so he'd win 4 games a year at ole miss. Until u get thru this probation, it ain't gonna matter who the coach is. Keep the guy u have because you're gonna fire the probation coach anyway. Have one coaching search instead of 2. Vince Lombardi couldnt coach well when they take away 20 schollies. Just wait about 5 years and go after somebody.

On the flip side you can stabilize the program with a squeaky clean coach and give him time to right the ship while they’re on probation.

He would be a great hire for Ole Miss, but he's not going backward. He did that already.

Boosters and the AD. Texas was a total clusterfrick when Strong arrived, not sure anyone outside of top 5 coaches could have made it work.

I really liked Charlie, good people. Get him a good OC and a solid football operations guy and you'll have success.. the D and recruiting will be solid and he's a great fit for any program that has had recent infractions issues/runs a clean show.
