Also, these same LSU fans that bitched about Alabama bringing back an NBA player are the same ones celebrating back the players that had gone to the NFL.

I'm still waiting for the first NFL players to step on campus. Kiffin isn't thumbing his nose at the NCAA. That's been done to exhaustion.
Now he has to thumb his nose at the SEC presidents and the SEC Commish. That makes the dynamics and risk completely different. The first time, the Cajun hierarchy could hold their nose and look the other way. This time, they are staring down the barrel of their peers and the boss of the sport they would sell their soul for.

It’s all still stupid. The current state of major college sports is chaos. Even if my team somehow benefits by bringing in players, it doesn’t change that what we’re seeing right now isn’t good for the sport.
One thing I said when all of the Bediako stuff played out during basketball season was that I can’t really blame a program for taking advantage of the chaos, but that I hope it spurs some sort of change.
