8-4 with losses to LSU, Bama, Texas, and Ole Miss.
Maybe they can get to 9-3, if they beat Bama or Ole Miss. I don’t see them beating LSU or Texas on the road. I think both defenses will be able to get after Taylor.

And Texas’s entire roster is better than MooU, plus they’re at home. State goes 8-4, which is absolutely a win for them

If Arch throws the ball ten yards short every time it really doesn’t matter what the rest of the roster looks like.

Texas should’ve beaten Tennessee by 3 scores. They didn’t because of Arch.

Look at you! I agree with most of it. Texas is the big concern for me just due to LOS. I have us 9-3 with losses to Texas, bama, LSU. I think LSU’s d line will make us look a lot worse than we are. If our LOS is good enough this weekend against bama, all bets are off. I truly think if we can find a way to be in the game against bama in the 4th quarter this weekend were a solid playoff team.

uTX defense will make up for it.
if uTX had a top 10 QB they'd be hard to beat and possibly win it all.

State was a complete disaster talent wise last year and had a two score lead against Texas with like 3 minutes left last season. Austin isn’t a difficult environment compared to the rest of the SEC. I like our chances unless Texas plays differently than they have thus far. That Dline and protecting Kamario is going to be a big problem though. That’s where it’s gonna be won or lost.

We could've possibly gotten to the 10-2 mark without ALL of the injuries, but no. 7-9 wins.

I don't see us beating Alabama, LSU or Texas. Those are very tough teams, physically and talent wise. The last game with OM could go either way. So at best, I see State finishing 9-3 or 8-4. Now if we can steal one of the aforementioned losses above (say LSU) perhaps we get into the playoffs. That's a big IF though.
