I dislike Auburn so much I don't even want to play them anymore. Has nothing to do with fear and winning doesn't even help. I can't even stand to see them even in a win.

That’s good stuff. I didn’t know much about TAM attempting to keep the game alive(or it could have just been grandstanding with no possible execution). At least there is two-way hate with UT refusing to play. Even better.
Off topic, I’m going to have to call MIZ-Kansas the most hateful now because outside of a NY6, that game will never happen. Kansas can rot in mid-major hell. Real rivals aren’t willingly promoting games together.

Man! I live in Texas and even I didn't realize all that had gone down back then. Great post!

The only thing that stands out to me is the FACT aggy is the reason we're in the playoffs this year. How do you may ask? Well, by turning down the offer of a home and home vs aggy in '22 and '23 we had to look for an alternate and unlike aggy Bama was willing to drop a cupcake for each season and play us. Anyone thinks we're in the playoffs with one loss without that win at Bama this year? A win at aggy wouldn't have moved the needle at all..we would have to stay perfect the rest of the year. Thanks aggy lolololololololol

Much like Enterprise Alabama’s Boll Weevil Monument, I think it would be appropriate to have a statue of the track coach who embodied little brother tu’s arrogance which caused us to make the move we should have made a long time ago when Roy Kramer was talking to RC.

There has always been hate between Aggie and Texas, but man being in the same conference with Nebraska turned it all up a notch...It was like the powers that be at Nebraska were always at odds with Texas and Aggie was the lead cheerleader and ball scrubber for Nebraska back then for some weird reason...Nebraska was without a doubt the biggest pot stirrer in the whole Big 12, they hated being in that conference from day 1. They hated that they couldn't recruit partial qualifiers anymore and blamed Texas when every team in the conference voted for that. They hated that they didn't play OU anymore on Thanksgiving every year. They hated that Texas beat them damn near every time they played them. They tried to claim Texas robbed them of a Big 12 championship on a controversial play that was actually reviewed and anyone with a brain could see the refs made the right call. Nebraska was just big big time biotches from day 1 with a long long list of grievances they blamed Texas for. They couldn't handle their glory days ending and Texas's success..If they had stayed in the Big 12, they may be more hated than Aggie by now.

At least now Nebraska is in low tier hell forever as a program. Probably will never be strong with nil and portal now either. Who the hell would want to live there , play there etc.

Based on the ongoing vitriol on this board it is easily Alabama vs LSU.

I agree that the LSU fanbase hatred of all things Bama is at absurd levels right now. But Bama doesn’t hate LSU. Annoyed by them? Yes, but we’ve just found that it’s easy to pick on them because of their unhealthy loathing for the Bama program

What two SEC schools truly have the most hatred towards each other ?
LSU just hates everybody. They are the most insecure bunch by far. And jealous, holy shite are they jealous of anybody comparing themselves with the Tigers.

Nice fantasy there. But I don't quite get where we are 'jealous of anybody comparing themselves.' WTeverlovingF does that even mean?
We are #12 all-time nationally in victories and #7 in bowl appearances, with 3 national titles with 3 different coaches all in the last TWO decades. What in GOD'S name would be be jealous about. alabama? Yes, maybe. But who isn't jealous of them ?? But WHYYYYY in heaven's name would be jealous of anyone else?? You make zero sense there.
There are nearly 5 million LSU alumni and fans across the globe. I would venture to say some do not like a few teams in the SEC - bama mostly, but who else?? And.......WHYYYYYYYYY ?????

Darth Vader is correct, Bama has police reports to show how pathetic they are. My theory is that “roll tide” is the only thing they have going for them. Outside of “roll tide”, they have no substance or calling.

You’ve hit the nail on the head. Not all, but a sizable portion of their fan base wraps their entire personality around the Crimson Tide. Any success the Tide has they treat it as though it’s their own personal success. Conversely, anything negative that happens to the Tide, be it as something as big as a loss or minor as a negative comment from a fan of another team, and they lose their shite. This subset of the Bama fan base, and it’s sizable, has literally nothing else in their life to give them true joy and a sense of accomplishment. So they use Alabama as a substitute. These are the ones who resort to things like throwing bricks though living room windows, shooting people, and poisoning trees.

And the few sane Bama fans here know I’m right.

I’ve watched some games with some true Alabama folks and it’s exhausting and silly when you sit back and truly think of how pathetic it is to cling to a game with such inbred passion.

As someone who lives in this state, I can testify that trying to watch a game with a Bama fan is borderline unbearable. And if you put them in a group, it only gets worse. And the worst among them are the women.

That rivalry is hype. Bigger fan bases at those schools so more magnified but that type of hate is def what it’s like for Oregon vs UW and vice versa

I assume that you are talking about Oklahoma vs Texas?

If you are then there is something you need to know. The equidistant location, the atmosphere of a state fair, the fact that about twice as many people go to the fair and watch the game on TV at the fair, and the fact that Dallas is full of people who come there that weekend just for the party makes it unique.

But what makes it different than any other game is the way they split the stadium. With the stadium split at the 50 each team is playing a "home" game on one side of the field and an "away" game on the other. FLA/UGA split the stadium in the end zone. Which give an entirely different dynamic to the crowd noise. It is more neutral.

The other thing about that game that is unique is that it is more "state vs. state" than school vs. school. The dynamic is similar to Oregon and Washington in that you have one state that thinks it is a lot better than the other.

I won't argue about whether Oklahoma vs. Texas is "the best" rivalry. But it is the most unique.
