I'll tell you the Tenn @ UGA game last year was the hottest game I have ever been too.

And that game was the last weekend of September..

Are these the only two SEC cities you know?

How does TN or KY fare early on? It may be Vols, Vandy, or Kentucky.

East, TN is pretty mild by the time kick off rolls around (early September can be hot but not terrible but mid-Sep is great). We have a lot of picture perfect weather in September. It's the same for Middle, TN and Kentucky. That said, both E. TN and M. TN are apt to heavy rain at least a few days in September, sometimes that will fall on gamedays but it usually just causes a rain delay.

Mid-September in Tennessee is some of the best weather you can get.

Arkansas and then Vandy.

Haven't been to Kentucky but rest of SEC is about the same. Was in South Carolina for our game there a few years ago and I don't think I have ever been as hot at a game as I was there. Definitely rivaled some miserably hot games at Kyle Field with 1pm kickoff and no wind.

Define "comfort". If the answer to that question is a D in your B....well the answer is clearly...Gay & M.

I see you Lexington.

Seriously frick the heat. I’m always extremely jealous of big 10 country for the start of football season.

An average number does not reflect game day nor humidity.

Also, I am old enough that you attended games in coat and tie with a t shirt underneath along with dress pants and street shoes. I remember games in my youth looking like I had been swimming in my clothes by the end of the game. Hot and humid with no breeze can make for some miserable games.

I am an old guy and I have to admit I love football outside when it rains and snows and it is a muddy mess. I loved playing in slop when there was more rushing than passing.

Was in BR a few years back when Jeremy Johnson threw the backwards pass and holy frick, that was the worst. It was so hot and humid. And our seats were on the side of the stadium where the sun just baked us the whole time we were there. We left with about 3 mins to go in the 3rd. Just fricking brutal.

I wondered a while back in another thread, what would be the next big thing in facility upgrades/additions, now that most everyone has IPFs and FB Ops Bldgs, or are in the works for adding those.

Perhaps the next big thing will be fully-enclosed, indoor FB stadiums.....

The last time we played in Columbia I saw at least 3 ladies faint and several who looked like they were about to. I didn’t feel too great myself. I’ve been to all the SEC stadiums except A&M ( UGA hasnt played them yet) and I’ve experienced a lot of hot weather in most that I’ve visited early in the season but I have never experienced heat like that at SC. They should play all their home games at night in Sept. whether they can get tv coverage or not. It’s hell on earth in that town

Columbia SC is where the devil goes when hell gets too cold.

Thank God for the levee. Otherwise the field would be underwater(along with half the city).

I can’t remember the last time we had an opening weekend that wasn’t miserably hot. The last week of August/first week of September is still damn hot in Fayetteville. It might be the “best” in the SEC but that’s not saying much because it’s still pretty awful.

Not LSU, but our players are used to it by then, so it works to our advantage. Hot and humid as fuuuck.
